Camera shelf accessory for Tempo wall mount system
Chief AS3A100
The Chief AS3A100 is a purpose-built camera shelf designed exclusively for use with the Chief Tempo Flat Panel Wall Mount System (AS3LD). Targeted at AV integrators deploying video conferencing or collaboration rooms, it provides a clean, professional mounting solution for PTZ and ePTZ cameras directly on the display mount — eliminating the need for separate camera stands or wall brackets. The shelf attaches to the top or bottom rail of the Tempo system and ships nearly fully assembled, keeping installation time to a minimum. It includes an adapter bracket for Vaddio IntelliSHOT and ConferenceSHOT cameras and accepts any camera with a standard ¼"-20 tripod mounting thread.

Toolless Height and Lateral Adjustment
The AS3A100 offers two independent axes of positioning without the need for tools. Toolless knobs provide 15,9 cm of vertical travel, allowing the camera to be placed precisely above or below the display — ideal for eye-level framing in huddle rooms or boardrooms. Simultaneously, the shelf glides freely along the full width of the Tempo wall plate rail, so it can be shifted laterally to perfectly centre the camera on the screen. Once in position both adjustments lock firmly, ensuring the camera does not drift during use. This combination means installers can dial in the exact camera geometry on-site without returning to the tool bag, cutting setup time noticeably.

Vaddio Camera Adapter Included
The AS3A100 ships with a dedicated adapter bracket for Vaddio IntelliSHOT and ConferenceSHOT ePTZ cameras — two of the most commonly specified auto-tracking cameras for huddle and conference spaces. Including this bracket in the box means that rooms built around these cameras can be completed without additional accessories or custom fabrication. For rooms not using Vaddio hardware, the shelf itself accepts any device with a standard ¼"-20 tripod thread, covering the vast majority of PTZ cameras on the market. This dual compatibility makes the AS3A100 a one-SKU answer for nearly all video conferencing camera mounting needs on the Tempo platform.

Integrated Cable Management
A window opening and slots running along both sides of the vertical height-adjustment bracket provide dedicated paths for camera cables. In a conference room where tidy presentation matters, this built-in routing keeps power and video cables contained and out of sight, reducing the visual clutter that exposed cables create behind a display. Clean cable management also simplifies future servicing — technicians can trace and access cables quickly without unpicking cable ties or disturbing the installation. For environments with strict aesthetic requirements, such as executive boardrooms or visitor centres, this detail directly contributes to a professional end result.

Wide Installation Range for Large-Format Displays
The shelf can be positioned anywhere between 32,3 cm and 71,8 cm from the Tempo system centre line, and for displays 165 cm (65") or larger the extension bracket can be rotated 180° to achieve the additional reach needed. This range covers the growing installed base of large-format commercial panels — from standard conference room sizes up to the very large displays increasingly used in boardrooms and digital signage. Installers do not need a different accessory for different display sizes; the AS3A100 adapts to the screen on site, protecting the investment if a room is later upgraded to a bigger panel.

6,8 kg Load Capacity with 10-Year Warranty
The AS3A100 is rated to carry up to 6,8 kg — more than adequate for the PTZ and ePTZ cameras typically used in collaboration spaces. Chief backs this with a 10-year limited warranty, which is among the longest in the commercial AV mounting category and reflects the structural confidence built into the product. For end customers, this translates to long-term peace of mind: the shelf is engineered to remain stable and load-rated throughout the lifecycle of the room, even if the camera is changed for a heavier model within the weight limit. TAA compliance additionally makes the product eligible for US government and education procurements.
