4K BYOD-BYOM 3-host USB and HDMI switcher

INOGENI TOGGLE ROOMS

The INOGENI TOGGLE ROOMS is a purpose-built BYOD/BYOM host switcher designed for Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other permanent conference room deployments. It allows a room PC and up to two guest laptops to share the room's full peripheral set — USB cameras, videobars, audio devices and HDMI display — with a single USB-C cable or a USB-B plus HDMI connection. Supporting 4Kp60 in 16:9 and 5Kp30 in 21:9 ultrawide formats, it operates without any driver installation and is compatible by design with Crestron, Logitech, Poly, Lenovo, MAXHUB, Jabra and other leading UC ecosystems. Made in Canada, TAA-compliant, and a winner of 2x Best of Show at ISE 2024 and the 2024 AV Award for Processing and Distribution Technology of the Year, TOGGLE ROOMS delivers a reliable, installer-friendly solution for huddle rooms through large auditoriums.

True 3-Host BYOD and BYOM Switching

True 3-Host BYOD and BYOM Switching

TOGGLE ROOMS routes three USB 3.0 peripherals (cameras, videobars, speakerphones) and one HDMI display between three host connections: a permanent Room PC plus two guest laptops. This goes beyond a simple 2-host KVM — the third host slot means a second BYOM laptop can be connected simultaneously, ready to take over without re-plugging. Automatic switching detects when a laptop is connected via USB-C and hands off the room's peripherals instantly; manual override via front-panel button, GPI, RS-232 or IP control is always available. In practice, this eliminates the cable chaos and the "whose cable is it?" confusion that delays the start of back-to-back meetings.

Single USB-C Cable with 100W Power Delivery

Single USB-C Cable with 100W Power Delivery

The laptop connection requires only one USB-C cable that simultaneously carries USB 3.0 data (5 Gbps), DisplayPort Alternate Mode video up to 4Kp60, and up to 100W of power to charge the laptop. A 1.8-metre cable is included and INOGENI has tested compatible third-party cables up to 10 metres, which is decisive for installations where the TOGGLE ROOMS is rack-mounted or placed at the head of a boardroom table away from the presenter. Older laptops without USB-C are equally supported via a USB-B plus HDMI 2.0 fallback, so the same unit serves both modern and legacy hardware in the same room without any adapters.

One USB-C cable. Three hosts. Zero driver installation.

Dual HDMI 2.0 Outputs for Display and Content Sharing

Dual HDMI 2.0 Outputs for Display and Content Sharing

Two independent HDMI 2.0 outputs — DISPLAY and SHARE — run at up to 4Kp60 (18 Gbps) simultaneously. The DISPLAY output drives the main room monitor from whichever host is active. The SHARE output carries the laptop's content directly into the Room PC's HDMI ingest port, enabling the guest's screen to appear in the conferencing software without any wireless screen-sharing app or additional capture hardware. Both outputs include a cable locking option to prevent accidental disconnection. The crosspoint switch supports automatic downscaling from 4K to 1080p, and ultrawide 21:9 content at 5Kp30 is natively supported — useful for dual-display setups and large-format ultrawide monitors in premium boardrooms.

Multi-Protocol Control and Q-SYS Integration

Multi-Protocol Control and Q-SYS Integration

System integrators can control TOGGLE ROOMS via RS-232 (4-pos terminal block, baud rates 9600–115200), IP (REST API and Telnet over 10-100 Mbps Ethernet, DHCP or static), two GPI relay inputs (contact-closure, 0–12V), or the front-panel push button. An optional surface-mounted INO-BUTTON KIT accessory brings a dedicated BYOM trigger to the table without running extra cabling to the control system. Native Q-SYS Designer plugin support means certified Q-SYS deployments can incorporate the switcher into a unified control layout with no custom scripting. This breadth of control options — from simple GPI to full IP API — makes TOGGLE ROOMS equally at home in a DIY huddle room and in a programmed enterprise boardroom.

Broad UC and Peripheral Compatibility — No Drivers

Broad UC and Peripheral Compatibility — No Drivers

TOGGLE ROOMS operates entirely without driver installation on Windows, macOS, and Linux, appearing as a standard USB hub to the host OS. It is tested and certified compatible by design with Crestron, Logitech (Rally Bar, MeetUp, Scribe and consumer cameras), Lenovo ThinkSmart, Poly, MAXHUB, Jabra, Barco ClickShare Conference (CX-20, CX-30, CX-50), Airtame, and Mago wireless sharing systems. Audio support covers bidirectional AEC for videobars from Cisco, Poly, Logitech, and Bose, with HDMI audio passthrough for LPCM, Dolby Digital, and DTS up to 192 kHz. This eliminates the compatibility-testing burden from pre-sales and deployment — the room just works on the first call.

TAA-Compliant, Canadian-Made, 5-Year Warranty

TAA-Compliant, Canadian-Made, 5-Year Warranty

TOGGLE ROOMS is designed and manufactured in Canada and carries Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance, making it eligible for US federal and GSA procurement. Certifications include CB, CCC, CE, EAC, FCC, IEC 62368, RCM, RoHS, UKCA, and UL — covering North American, European and Australian markets from a single SKU. The extended 5-year warranty (upgraded from the original 2-year) reflects INOGENI's confidence in build quality and significantly reduces the total cost of ownership for large enterprise rollouts where warranty management overhead is a real operational cost.
