4K BYOD/BYOM 3-host USB/HDMI switcher with HDBaseT extension

INOGENI TOGGLE ROOMS XT

The INOGENI TOGGLE ROOMS XT is a two-box BYOD/BYOM switching solution engineered for large meeting rooms, boardrooms, classrooms, and auditoriums where the display wall and the conference table are separated by significant distance. A Room PC hub sits near the display and UC system, while a Laptop hub sits at the table, connected by a single CAT6A U/FTP cable spanning up to 70 m. A visiting presenter simply plugs in one USB-C cable — charging their laptop at 100 W simultaneously — and instantly inherits control of all room peripherals: cameras, videobars, microphones, and the main display. Made in Canada and TAA-compliant, the TOGGLE ROOMS XT ships with a 5-year warranty and requires no drivers on Windows, macOS, or Linux.

Single-Cable BYOD/BYOM Control

Single-Cable BYOD/BYOM Control

The TOGGLE ROOMS XT reduces laptop connection to a single USB-C cable that simultaneously carries USB 2.0 data, DisplayPort 4K60 video (via Alt Mode), and up to 100 W of power delivery. The moment the cable is plugged in, the laptop takes ownership of all room peripherals — camera, videobar, microphone, display — with no driver installation and no manual device handoff. This is a concrete workflow improvement in rooms where frictionless guest presenter access is a priority: no adapter hunting, no IT intervention, and the laptop battery charges rather than drains during the meeting.

HDBaseT 3.0 Reach for Large Rooms

HDBaseT 3.0 Reach for Large Rooms

The two-box architecture solves the fundamental problem of large rooms: the display wall and the conference table are far apart. One CAT6A U/FTP cable between the Room PC hub and the Laptop hub carries uncompressed HDMI video, USB, control signals, and power — no active extenders or separate video transmitters needed. Signal reach is up to 40 m at 4K60 and up to 70 m at 1080p/4K30. This covers virtually every boardroom, tiered classroom, or auditorium layout in a single cable pull, dramatically simplifying both the install and the long-term support burden.

One cable. Three hosts. Seventy metres.

Flexible BYOD and BYOM Switching Modes

Flexible BYOD and BYOM Switching Modes

The system supports three distinct operating modes selectable automatically or via a front button, GPI contact closure, or the optional INO-BUTTON KIT surface-mounted switch. In Room PC mode, all USB and HDMI devices route to the resident UC system. In BYOD mode, the guest laptop shares its screen to the Room PC via the HDMI SHARE output while the Room PC still controls peripherals. In BYOM mode, the laptop takes full control of all USB peripherals and the HDMI display, with the Room PC completely disconnected. This three-way flexibility means the same hardware serves a Zoom Rooms appliance, a Microsoft Teams Rooms PC, and a drop-in presenter without any reconfiguration.

Broad UC System and Camera Compatibility

Broad UC System and Camera Compatibility

INOGENI tests and validates the TOGGLE ROOMS XT against the hardware actually deployed in enterprise rooms — not just generic USB class compliance. Certified-compatible UC platforms include Crestron, Logitech (Rally Bar series, MeetUp, Scribe, Roommate, Rally Bar appliance mode for MTR and Zoom Rooms), Lenovo ThinkSmart, Poly, MAXHUB XCore, Jabra, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Webex. Supported camera brands include Vaddio, Huddly, Aver, Marshall, HuddleCamHD, and others. Bidirectional AEC audio is preserved for videobars from Cisco, Poly, Bose, Shure, Sennheiser, Nureva, Biamp, and Lumens. For integrators, this eliminates the compatibility risk that typically accompanies KVM-style switching in UC environments.

Full Remote Control via IP, RS-232 and GPI

Full Remote Control via IP, RS-232 and GPI

The Room PC hub carries a 10/100 Mbps LAN port supporting REST API and Telnet alongside a traditional RS-232 serial port (9600–115200 baud) and two GPI contact-closure inputs. The Laptop hub adds its own RS-232, IP, and GPI ports. The preloaded MAESTRO LAN web interface enables real-time status monitoring, source switching, and firmware updates without visiting the hardware. For control system integrators running Q-SYS, INOGENI publishes a dedicated plug-in. This multi-path control architecture means the switcher slots into any existing room control framework — whether a Crestron or AMX processor, a Q-SYS core, or a simple wall button — without compromise.

Award-Winning Design with 5-Year Warranty

Award-Winning Design with 5-Year Warranty

The TOGGLE ROOMS XT won Pro AV Best in Market 2024 and two Best of Show awards at InfoComm 2024 (from both AV Technology and Sound & Video Contractor magazines), as well as a 2025 AV Award. Beyond the industry recognition, the aluminium enclosure is compact enough for under-table or wall mounting using included brackets, and the unit ships with all cables, power supplies, and international adapters. INOGENI backs it with a 5-year warranty — significantly longer than the 2–3 years typical for this class of professional AV equipment — and the HETMA Approved certification signals suitability for demanding higher-education environments. Manufactured in Canada, it is also fully TAA-compliant for US federal procurement.
