The Chief CMA270W is a threaded pipe coupler designed to join two 1.5" NPT threaded extension columns, allowing installers to achieve greater ceiling-to-projector drop distances than a single column provides. The CMA270W is rated for a 226.8 kg (500 lb) load — equal to the rated capacity of virtually all Chief 1.5" NPT threaded columns and column extensions. This means the coupler is never the weakest link in the assembly: the full structural rating of the column system is preserved end-to-end.
