10-inch in-wall subwoofer for new construction
Origin Acoustics CSUBIW10N
The Origin Acoustics CSUBIW10N is a high-performance 10-inch in-wall subwoofer purpose-built for new construction installations. Designed for integrators who insist on breathtaking bass without compromising interior aesthetics, it integrates directly into standard stud framing during rough-in and disappears behind drywall with only a paintable micro-perforation grille visible. The all-in-one box ships enclosure, woofer and protective wood cover together, eliminating the multi-stage ordering process. Precision-tuned via Origin PRO amplifiers with dedicated DSP profiles, it delivers controlled, impactful low-frequency performance ideally suited to high-end residential home theatre and whole-home audio installations.

Complete New Construction Solution
The CSUBIW10N ships as a complete kit — enclosure, 10-inch woofer baffle and protective wood cover all in a single box. This is a meaningful departure from the older CSUB10N generation, where the enclosure and baffle were ordered separately. For a new-build project with multiple zones or tight procurement schedules, having every part arrive together reduces the risk of mismatched orders, delayed finishes and return visits. The enclosure is suspended between standard studs during the rough-in phase, and the baffle drops into place after drywall is hung — keeping the trades on schedule and the finish work clean.

Anti-Vibration Design for Distortion-Free Bass
In-wall subwoofers face a structural challenge that freestanding subs do not: bass energy travels directly into the building fabric, causing walls and floors to resonate and muddying the sound. The CSUBIW10N addresses this with a purpose-designed anti-vibration mounting system that decouples the enclosure from the studs. The result is that deep bass stays in the listening room as intended — controlled, tight and clean — rather than diffusing through the structure. For home theatre rooms or music listening rooms where SPL levels are high, this is the difference between a genuinely impactful low-frequency experience and one marred by rattle and bloom.

Rigid Aluminium Cone — 800W Peak Handling
The CSUBIW10N uses a 10-inch rigid aluminium cone with a fiberglass voice coil former rated to 800W peak. Aluminium is significantly stiffer than conventional paper or polypropylene cones, which means the cone maintains its shape under high excursion rather than flexing and introducing harmonic distortion. At the same time, aluminium dissipates heat from the voice coil efficiently, protecting the driver during extended high-power use. The practical outcome is a subwoofer that can dig deep and play loud in large listening rooms — home theatres, open-plan living areas and media rooms — without compression or thermal shutdown.

Aesthetically Invisible — Paintable Grille
One of the consistent objections clients raise to in-wall subwoofers is the visible grille breaking the wall plane. The CSUBIW10N ships with a micro-perforation grille that can be painted to match any wall colour, making it virtually invisible once installed. For luxury residential projects where the interior designer has specified a particular finish — or where the homeowner simply wants the technology out of sight — this is a practical, zero-compromise solution. The micro-perforation pattern is acoustically transparent so painting does not significantly affect bass output, provided the grille is spray-painted lightly as recommended.

Precision DSP Tuning via Origin PRO Amplifiers
The CSUBIW10N is designed to be driven by Origin PRO amplifiers, which carry dedicated DSP profiles optimised for this specific driver and enclosure geometry. Rather than relying on generic subwoofer amplifier settings, the DSP profile is calibrated to the cabinet's tuning, the aluminium cone's characteristics and the expected room loading in a typical new-construction installation. This removes much of the trial-and-error from commissioning and gives end users consistent, predictable bass performance — no matter whether the sub is deployed in a dedicated home theatre or a large open-plan living area.
