A pivoting silk DPSD tweeter focuses the high frequencies toward the listening area, while a ported design delivers fuller low-end extension. Selectable 70V/100V & 8-Ohm Operation
A front-mounted tap switch with a premium, near-transparent transformer lets the speaker run on 70V or 100V distributed lines or as an 8-ohm low-impedance load, with taps of 60W/30W/15W/7.5W on 70V. Because the tap is reached from the front, the level on each speaker can be set or re-balanced after the unit is in the ceiling, without pulling it back out. In practice this means a venue can fine-tune zone volumes during commissioning, add the PC60B to almost any existing amplifier topology, and keep one product on the shelf for both long cable runs and short low-impedance rooms.
Multi-Motion Pivot Tweeter Aiming
The 1-inch silk DPSD tweeter sits on Origin's patented Multi-Motion Pivot and tilts up to 30 degrees in any direction while the woofer stays fixed. High frequencies are the most directional part of the sound, so being able to angle just the tweeter lets the installer steer clarity and intelligibility toward where people actually stand or sit. Safety Strap Connection for Seismic Areas
A dedicated safety-strap attachment point lets the speaker be tethered to the building structure independently of the ceiling tile. In regions with regular seismic activity, or in any installation governed by overhead-suspension safety codes, this secondary support keeps the unit from falling if the ceiling is disturbed. For the end user it is straightforward peace of mind and easier code sign-off on commercial projects where falling-object protection is mandatory.
Paintable Low-Profile Grille
The black grille is low-profile and fully paintable, so it can be color-matched to the ceiling and made to visually disappear.
