Hi-Fi outdoor landscape audio system

Origin Acoustics AS41SYS

The Origin Acoustics Acoustic Landscape AS41SYS is a premium outdoor hi-fi audio system designed to disappear into its surroundings while delivering rich, full-range sound across an entire backyard or garden. Targeting professional custom installers and high-end residential AV projects, the system combines four compact 2-way satellite speakers — planted discreetly among foliage using included in-ground mounting stakes — with a powerful 10" dual voice coil burial or hardscape subwoofer. Unlike conventional rock or patio speakers, the AS41SYS is engineered to direct sound inwards towards the listening area, creating an even, immersive soundfield with no audible hotspots. The camouflage finish and natural earth tones ensure the system blends seamlessly into garden landscaping while providing weatherproof performance year-round.

Invisible Sound — Maximum Impact

Invisible Sound — Maximum Impact

The AS41SYS is engineered from the ground up to be unseen. The four satellite speakers are finished in a camouflage UV-resistant HDPE baffle and a powder-coated steel grille that blends into garden foliage; they are planted using the included 11.75" in-ground mounting stakes. The 10" subwoofer is buried directly in soil or gravel, leaving only a discreet earth-coloured port cap visible. Unlike rock speakers or patio cabinets, which sit visually in the space, this system genuinely disappears — meaning the garden aesthetic is preserved entirely. For clients who invest heavily in outdoor landscaping and design, this is a decisive benefit: they get concert-quality bass and surround sound without a single speaker box in sight.

IPX6 Weatherproof Enclosures

IPX6 Weatherproof Enclosures

Every component in the AS41SYS system carries an IPX6 weatherproof certification — strong enough to withstand powerful jets of water from any direction. In practice, this means the system handles driving rain, irrigation sprinklers, pressure washing nearby, and the full range of seasonal temperature swings without degradation in performance or appearance. The satellite enclosures use colour-moulded composite with UV-treated HDPE baffles, ensuring the camouflage colouring does not fade with prolonged sun exposure. For installers, this removes ongoing support concerns about weather-related failures, and for the end customer it means a truly set-and-forget outdoor audio installation that performs reliably year after year.

Directional Sound Design — Even Coverage, No Hotspots

Directional Sound Design — Even Coverage, No Hotspots

Unlike omnidirectional rock speakers that bleed sound in all directions, the AS41SYS satellites are aimed specifically at the listening area. Placed 6–8 feet apart, each speaker has a 70-degree dispersion angle covering up to 20 feet, and the four-speaker layout creates a uniform soundfield across the entire outdoor space. Every seat in the garden becomes a sweet spot, with consistent volume and tonal balance whether you're near the centre or at the edge of the coverage zone. Neighbours are also far less likely to be disturbed, since the directional design concentrates sound where it's wanted rather than broadcasting it outwards. This makes the system especially well-suited for enclosed gardens, pool decks, and terraces where precise audio zoning matters.

Powerful 10" Burial Subwoofer — Dual Voice Coil

Powerful 10" Burial Subwoofer — Dual Voice Coil

The AS41SUB10 subwoofer uses a 10" dual voice coil polypropylene driver in a ported burial or hardscape enclosure, delivering bass extension down to 35 Hz. The dual voice coil design allows the subwoofer to be wired to an 8-ohm system in parallel with the satellite speakers — all on a single stereo amplifier channel — keeping the installation simple without requiring a separate subwoofer amplifier channel or crossover. The tuned port cap is the only part visible above ground, and can be positioned near a wall or solid surface for additional bass reinforcement. For clients who want real low-end outdoors — not just mid-bass from small satellites — this subwoofer delivers a tangible difference in listening experience.

Scalable Coverage — From 1,500 to 2,500 Sq Ft

Scalable Coverage — From 1,500 to 2,500 Sq Ft

The AS41SYS is designed with expansion built in. Out of the box, four satellites cover up to 1,500 square feet of listening area. By adding the AS4SAT expansion pack (sold separately), integrators can scale the system up to eight satellite speakers for coverage of 2,500 square feet — all powered from the same two-channel amplifier. Up to four speakers can be run in parallel per amplifier channel, making the wiring architecture simple even at full scale. For larger properties, multiple AS41SYS systems can be deployed as separate zones. This scalability makes the AS41SYS a future-proof choice: it can be installed modestly today and grown to match a client's evolving outdoor space without replacing the core system.

Simple Integration with Any Stereo Amplifier

Simple Integration with Any Stereo Amplifier

The AS41SYS requires no proprietary amplifier or dedicated outdoor receiver — it connects directly to any standard A/V receiver or stereo amplifier with two available channels and standard 4-conductor speaker wire. The system presents a 4–8 ohm load, compatible with virtually all consumer and professional amplifiers. With a power handling of 120W RMS (240W peak) at the system level and 87 dB sensitivity, it pairs easily with mid-range amplifiers from brands the installer already stocks. Direct burial wire is not included but standard 16-gauge or heavier 4-conductor cable is all that is needed. This openness to third-party amplification gives integrators and clients full flexibility when specifying the rest of the system.
