The Ambisonic ALSB64BL is the Midnight Black variant of the Luxury Landscape Bollard 6 — the most compact speaker in the Ambisonic Bollard Collection, part of the Origin Acoustics portfolio. Designed for permanent outdoor installation, it combines a buried 6.5" subwoofer enclosure with a hexagonal anodized aluminum pillar housing a 4.5" aluminum midrange and a 1" HD aluminum conical ribbon tweeter. True 3-Way Design in a Single Bollard

Most landscape bollards are 2-way systems limited in low-frequency extension and dynamic range. The ALSB64BL integrates a dedicated 6.5" polypropylene subwoofer in a ported burial chamber, a 4.5" aluminum midrange, and a 1" HD aluminum conical ribbon tweeter — all in one self-contained unit. The sub ports just below the acoustic lens, reinforcing bass throughout the outdoor area without requiring a separate buried subwoofer enclosure. In practice, this means full-range sound (48Hz–20kHz) with genuine low-end weight, not just mid-bass presence. A garden or resort terrace with two or more bollards produces layered, consistent bass across the listening zone — something two-way landscape speakers simply cannot replicate.

360° Dispersion via Acoustic Lens Slots

Sound from both the subwoofer and satellite radiates through precision slots in the upper portion of the hexagonal pillar, creating omnidirectional coverage without pointing or aiming the speaker. This is the decisive architectural advantage of the bollard form: regardless of where a listener is positioned relative to the speaker, they receive the same frequency response and sound pressure level. For outdoor hospitality, resort pool decks, courtyard dining, or residential gardens where seating is spread around the space rather than in front of a speaker, 360° dispersion eliminates dead zones. Flexible 70V-100V and LoZ Transformer Taps

An onboard selectable transformer supports 70V, 100V and low-impedance (LoZ) operation, chosen via a tap switch in the subwoofer enclosure before burial. In 70V or 100V mode, up to four bollards can be driven per PROA250.2 amplifier (two per channel), making it straightforward to scale installations from a backyard pair to a large resort deployment without changing amplifiers or rewiring. LoZ mode bypasses the transformer for direct 4–8 ohm operation, but limits the system to two bollards per amplifier. For outdoor applications with long cable runs, 70V is strongly recommended: it minimises resistive losses in buried cable and ensures consistent volume regardless of distance from the amplifier. The tap setting must be confirmed before burial — a consideration to communicate clearly at project handoff.

Anodized Aluminum Sleeve for Long-Term Durability

The hexagonal outer sleeve is machined from durable aluminum and anodized to achieve a Midnight Black finish that resists moisture, UV radiation and heat — all without the film-adhesion weaknesses of painted finishes. Anodizing integrates color into the metal surface rather than coating it, which means the finish will not peel, chip or fade at the rate a painted surface would in direct sun and rain. The enclosure itself is a weather-resistant poly composite, and the speaker includes a removable drain plug for regions with high groundwater or very wet soil. Clean Aesthetic — Invisible Subwoofer, Slim Profile
