Luxury 3-way outdoor landscape bollard speaker
Ambisonic ALSB64CH
The Ambisonic ALSB64CH is the most compact model in the Ambisonic Bollard Collection — a premium 3-way outdoor landscape loudspeaker engineered to deliver full-range, uniform sound across outdoor living areas, commercial courtyards, hospitality venues, and garden installations. Its distinctive hexagonal champagne-finish sleeve sits visibly above ground while the subwoofer enclosure is buried for a clean, architectural appearance. Sound radiates 360° through the upper pillar slots, filling the listening area evenly from all sides. Selectable 70V, 100V, or low-impedance transformer taps make it equally at home on commercial distributed audio systems and residential setups, while the weather-resistant poly composite enclosure ensures year-round durability.

True 3-Way Driver Array
Most landscape bollards rely on a 2-way driver configuration, often leaving a gap in the midrange that makes speech intelligibility and live music sound flat in the open air. The ALSB64CH uses a dedicated 4.5" aluminum midrange driver alongside a 6.5" polypropylene woofer and a 1" HD aluminum conical ribbon tweeter — each driver covering its optimal frequency band. The result is a full, coherent frequency response from 48 Hz to 20 kHz, which means outdoor background music remains detailed and involving even at modest listening volumes, and vocals cut through ambient noise without harshness.

360° Omni Dispersion, Ground-Level Bass
Sound radiates outward through slots along the entire upper pillar section — covering every direction equally rather than projecting in a single sweet spot. This omnidirectional pattern significantly reduces the number of bollards required to achieve even coverage across a terrace or garden, which directly affects the project cost and wiring complexity. The buried subwoofer section couples with the ground, reinforcing low-frequency output without the enclosure resonances you get from above-ground boxes — producing a fuller, more natural bass balance than similarly sized above-ground speakers.

Flexible 70V-100V and LoZ System Integration
A single tap switch under the subwoofer cap selects between LoZ (direct 8-ohm-class operation), 70V, or 100V distributed audio modes. In 70V or 100V mode, up to four bollards can be driven per PROA250.2 amplifier channel pair, allowing large commercial deployments — pools, resort terraces, retail courtyards — without the impedance matching headaches of low-impedance daisy chains. LoZ mode supports a maximum of two bollards and suits smaller residential zones. This single-unit flexibility means the bollard works in both commercial and residential contexts without any hardware changes, simplifying stocking and specification.

Architecturally Discreet, Anodized Finish
The hexagonal sleeve is anodized — not painted — for maximum colour durability. The ALSB64CH's champagne finish blends into natural stone, timber decking, and most light-coloured hardscape materials. Because the subwoofer enclosure is fully buried and the pillar extends only 18 inches above ground, the system is far less visually intrusive than surface-mounted outdoor speakers or wall-bracket enclosures. The low profile also reduces accidental damage from lawnmowers, foot traffic, and landscaping equipment. If a customer wants a less visible outdoor audio system without compromising sound quality, the bollard design is the decisive argument.

Buried Subwoofer with Optional Drain Plug
The subwoofer enclosure ships with a drain plug at the base that can be removed or retained depending on soil conditions. In wet regions — high water-table areas, clay soils — the plug stays in to seal the enclosure; in dry or sandy locations it is removed and a gravel bed allows any incidental water to drain naturally. This flexibility is significant for installers working across different climates: the same product serves desert installations and rainy coastal zones without modification. The design also allows the installer to complete all wiring connections before burial, keeping termination accessible until the final backfill step.
