Luxury 3-way hexagonal landscape bollard speaker
Ambisonic ALSB64S
The Ambisonic ALSB64S is a premium 3-way outdoor landscape bollard speaker engineered for residential and commercial outdoor audio installations. The subwoofer enclosure buries flush in the ground, leaving only the elegant hexagonal Stargazing Silver pillar visible at grade level — blending seamlessly into garden and hardscape designs. Sound from both the buried subwoofer and the above-ground satellite radiates through slots in the upper pillar, delivering a uniform 360° full-frequency listening experience across patios, poolscapes, and commercial exterior areas. With 70V and 100V transformer taps plus a selectable Lo-Z bypass, it integrates equally well into large distributed audio runs or small high-fidelity stereo pairs. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty and designed for long-term outdoor durability, the ALSB64S is part of the Ambisonic Bollard Collection by Origin Acoustics.

True 3-Way Architecture in a Single Bollard
Most landscape bollards are simple 2-way designs. The ALSB64S steps up with a genuine 3-way system: a 6.5" (165 mm) polypropylene woofer in the buried subwoofer enclosure, a 4.5" (115 mm) aluminum cone midrange, and a 1" (25 mm) HD aluminum conical ribbon tweeter — all housed in one integrated unit. Separate amplifier channels drive the subwoofer and satellite sections independently, giving the installer precise DSP control over crossover points and level matching. The result for the end user is full, balanced sound with clear highs, articulate mids and genuine low-frequency weight — not the thin, rolled-off audio typical of two-driver outdoor units.

Invisible Installation: Sub Below Grade, Sound Above
The ALSB64S is engineered so the subwoofer enclosure — a 315 mm diameter, 212 mm deep poly composite pod — buries completely underground. Only the hexagonal pillar sleeve, standing 476 mm above grade, is visible. Sound from both the subwoofer and the satellite exits through precision slots in that upper pillar. This design eliminates the clutter of visible speaker cabinets in landscaping, making it ideal for high-end residential gardens, resort pools, hotel courtyards and commercial terraces where the audio system should be heard but not seen. Installers also benefit from a drain plug option to manage groundwater in wet climates, and the unit has been designed with sprinkler clearance guidance included in the installation manual.

360° Dispersion for Even Outdoor Coverage
Unlike directional landscape speakers that require careful aiming and often create hot spots, the ALSB64S emits sound equally in all directions from its slotted pillar. A single bollard can serve as the centre of a listening zone, with coverage radiating outward uniformly. For larger areas, multiple bollards are daisy-chained or star-wired in parallel, and the 360° pattern means gaps between units are minimised. In practice this lets installers use fewer speakers to cover the same area compared to directional designs — or use the same count for more even sound pressure at every seat on a terrace or by a pool.

70V-100V and Lo-Z Flexibility
The ALSB64S carries selectable transformer taps: 50W at 70V, 50W at 100V, or a low-impedance bypass for direct 6-ohm (sub) and 4-ohm (satellite) operation. The 70V or 100V modes are the recommended choice for any installation with more than two bollards, because distributed voltage wiring avoids impedance stacking issues regardless of cable runs or the number of speakers on the circuit. Each PROA250.2 amplifier can drive up to four bollards at the 50W 70V or 100V tap setting. The Lo-Z mode is available for simple stereo pairs where transformer bypass is preferred for maximum fidelity — but is strictly limited to two bollards per amplifier channel to protect the amp from low combined impedance.

Anodized Hexagonal Sleeve — Durable, Discreet, Architectural
The ALSB64S sleeve is anodized aluminum in a Stargazing Silver finish, chosen to harmonise with natural stonework, concrete, stainless fixtures and contemporary garden design. Anodising creates a hard, electrochemically bonded oxide layer that resists corrosion, UV fade and scratching far better than paint — which is why modifying the sleeve colour by painting it may void the warranty and compromise its long-term durability. The hexagonal profile is consistent across all three ALSB64 colour variants, giving installations a cohesive, premium look. Total height above ground is 18.75" (476 mm), with overall unit height of 27.1" (688 mm) including the buried section.
