SCP CAT6-BK-ETL-D — ETL-certified Cat6 bulk cable, EU/US compliant
The SCP CAT6-BK-ETL-D is a Cat6 Installer Series unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) bulk cable designed for professional structured cabling in commercial and residential installations across North America and Europe. Rated for both ETL CMR riser environments and the European CPR EuroClass Dca, it covers the most common compliance requirements on a single SKU. With 500 MHz enhanced bandwidth performance and full support for PoE (IEEE 802.3at Type 2, 30W) and Power over HDBaseT, it is well suited for AV distribution, IP networking, IP cameras, and access control. Packaged in SCP's signature Reelex II tangle-free box, it is aimed at installers who demand reliable performance and efficient on-site handling.

Dual Compliance: ETL CMR and CPR Dca
The CAT6-BK-ETL-D carries two independent third-party certifications: ETL Verified CMR FT4 for riser-rated installations in North America, and EN50575 CPR EuroClass Dca-s3,d2,a3 for European Union and EMEA markets. PoE Type 2 and Power over HDBaseT Ready
The cable is rated to IEEE 802.3at Type 2, supporting up to 30W PoE per port — sufficient for IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP handsets, and slim displays. It also supports Power over HDBaseT (PoH), which can deliver up to 100W over a single Cat6 cable to power AV endpoint devices without a separate power supply at the device end. A cable that is not specifically designed and tested for sustained PoE operation can cause heat build-up in bundled runs, which degrades insulation and increases resistance. SCP's solid 23 AWG bare copper construction with HDPE insulation is engineered to manage the thermal load, keeping resistance within spec for the life of the installation.

Reelex II Tangle-Free Dispensing Box
The cable ships in SCP's Reelex II box — a figure-eight wound, inside-out dispense format that pulls tangle-free from the centre of the coil. On a long commercial pull, a kink or tangle mid-run can force a re-pull and waste significant cable. The Reelex II format eliminates that risk: the cable feeds out consistently without twisting or looping. The box itself is lightweight but resilient — SCP notes that even a damaged box continues to dispense correctly. At 1000ft/305m per box, it covers most horizontal runs in a single continuous length, minimising joins.

Installer-Friendly Jacket Markings
The PVC jacket carries SCP's industry-leading descending feet/metre markings alongside a zone and outlet legend (A–E, 0–9). This lets installers identify exactly how much cable remains on the reel and — critically — label each outlet with a unique zone/device code printed directly on the cable jacket, rather than relying solely on field-applied labels that can smear or peel. For large commercial installs with dozens or hundreds of runs, this built-in identification system dramatically reduces labelling errors and simplifies future moves, adds, and changes for the building owner or facilities team.
