Chief LCB1U

The Chief LCB1U Fusion® Back-to-Back Ceiling Mount is designed for commercial installations where two large flat-panel displays must be suspended from a single ceiling column and visible from opposite directions. Ideal for retail, hospitality, airports, and corporate environments, it holds two landscape-oriented screens ranging from 81 to 152 cm and supports up to 56.7 kg per display. The mount is engineered for fast, professional installation, offering tool-free screen engagement, Centris fingertip tilt technology, and a simple on/off column connection. It works within Chief's Fusion ecosystem of CPA ceiling plates and extension columns, making it a proven choice for clean, scalable AV integration overhead.

Centris Fingertip Tilt Technology

Centris is Chief's proprietary tilt mechanism that provides a continuous, smooth range of tilt from -20° to +5° with only fingertip force — no tools required to adjust the angle. Four preset locking positions (0°, 5°, 10°, and 15°) allow installers to replicate the exact same tilt on both screens without guessing or measuring. In a back-to-back installation, display alignment is critical: viewers on both sides of the mount must get the correct viewing angle. Centris makes it practical to dial in and lock that angle quickly and confidently during install, and to return to it precisely if a screen ever needs to be re-engaged after service.

Tool-Free Screen Engagement with Security Option

Displays connect to the mount via a latch mechanism that requires no tools to engage or release — screens simply click into the interface brackets. This dramatically reduces installation time and makes it straightforward to swap or service a display on-site without specialist tools. For environments where theft or unauthorized removal is a concern, the mount accepts an optional padlock that secures the display in place. This combination of ease-of-use and lockable security makes the LCB1U well-suited for high-traffic public spaces such as airports, retail floors, and hotel lobbies where both speed of service and asset protection matter.

Chief Fusion Ecosystem Compatibility

The LCB1U is part of Chief's Fusion® mounting ecosystem and is compatible with both traditional 1.5-inch NPT threaded ceiling plates and extension columns and the newer CPA pin-connection system. Supported ceiling plates include CPA330, CPA365, CPA395, CMA330, CMA345, and CMA395. With CPA columns, the mount can also be stacked — enabling multi-level configurations on a single drop where space or installation geometry demands it. This interoperability with existing Chief infrastructure means integrators who already use Fusion components can slot the LCB1U into an ongoing project without sourcing new hardware or learning a different system.

Simple On-Off Column Connection

The LCB1U attaches to and detaches from the ceiling column via a single on/off connection — no threading, no complex tool work. This design is specifically aimed at reducing on-site labour during initial installation and during any subsequent maintenance. If a display needs to come down for service or replacement, the entire mount head can be removed and reattached cleanly. In commercial environments where minimising display downtime translates directly to reduced disruption for guests, passengers, or shoppers, this feature provides a tangible operational benefit.
