Chief CMS115 — Speed-Connect ceiling plate for projector installations
The Chief CMS115 is a 6-inch (15,2 cm) Speed-Connect ceiling plate designed to anchor projector ceiling mount systems quickly and securely. Part of Chief's Speed-Connect series — an evolution of the proven CMA series — it targets AV integrators and installers who need to complete projector drops efficiently without sacrificing structural integrity. The plate mounts to a ceiling structure and accepts any standard 1.5" NPT extension column or pipe, making it the foundation of a modular projector mount assembly. Its aluminium construction keeps weight down while delivering the load-bearing strength needed for professional AV environments including classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and home theatres. Speed-Connect Design Saves Installation Time
The Speed-Connect series was developed as a direct upgrade to Chief's long-running CMA series, specifically to reduce the time spent on projector ceiling mount installations. The ceiling plate features a simplified alignment and attachment mechanism that clicks into position rather than requiring extensive adjustment and re-tightening. Integrated Cable Management
The ceiling plate includes a built-in cable exit port that routes AV and power cables neatly up through the plate and into the ceiling void. This eliminates the need for separate cable clips or conduit fittings at the plate level, resulting in a cleaner finish visible from the floor.
