Ventilated, lockable small media player enclosure
Chief FCA510
The Chief FCA510 is a small storage accessory from the Fusion series, designed to hold compact PCs and media players neatly behind a flat panel display. Instead of leaving a player loose on a shelf or taped to the back of a screen, the equipment sits in a vented steel box that stays attached to the mounting system, with its connections still reachable. It suits digital signage, meeting rooms, retail and hospitality installations where the player must be hidden, protected and easy to service. The enclosure can be installed vertically or horizontally and can be locked with an optional padlock, which helps deter tampering in public spaces.

Sized for Mini PCs and Media Players
The enclosure accepts devices up to 26,7 x 26,7 x 7,6 cm (H x W x D), which covers typical small-form-factor PCs, signage players and streaming boxes. Rubber bumpers are included to seat the device inside the box. Because the player lives in the enclosure instead of being stuck to the display or a shelf, it stays in one defined position, which reduces cable strain and avoids loose equipment behind the screen. Check the actual dimensions of the intended player against these limits before specifying.

Mounts to Fusion Rails or Ceiling Mounts
The FCA510 attaches to the mounting rail of Chief Fusion systems using the supplied T-slot nuts, screws and washers, and it can also be fixed to the back of Chief ceiling mounts. It may be installed in either vertical or horizontal orientation, and several attachment points on the box let the installer choose which way the door opens. In practice, the player travels with the display mounting system: one installation, one structure, and no separate shelf or wall space needed. A 3/16" hex key is included, and a Phillips screwdriver is the only other tool required.
Hide the player. Keep it cool. Lock it down.

Ventilated Body with Easy I/O Access
The steel enclosure has perforated top and bottom sections for airflow, plus large cut-outs in the front and side panels for cables. Connections on the player stay accessible, and the door can be removed for servicing. This helps small players that run continuously in signage or conference installations to avoid heat build-up inside a closed box, and it lets a technician swap cables or a device without dismantling the display mount.

Padlock Option for Public Spaces
The door can be secured with a padlock (not included). This gives basic protection against casual tampering and theft of the media player in lobbies, classrooms, retail floors or hospitality areas, where the display is often reachable by the public. It is a physical deterrent, not a high-security vault, so it fits best in locations where the mount is already out of easy reach.

Weight Budget to Plan Around
The enclosure itself weighs 3,49 kg and supports up to 9,1 kg of enclosed components. The manual states that its weight, together with the equipment inside, is deducted from the load capacity of the mounting system it is attached to. This needs to be included when calculating the total load of a Fusion or ceiling mount. The FCA510 is for indoor use only, and the manual warns against placing displays or monitors on top of it.
