Chief LSM1U

The Chief LSM1U is a large-format fixed wall mount from Chief's Fusion® series, designed for commercial AV installations with screens from 37 to 80 inches. Built on installer feedback and real-world field observations, it combines a rock-solid fixed profile with rare post-installation flexibility: lateral shift, height adjustment, and levelling can all be fine-tuned after the display is on the wall. The universal VESA compatibility (100×100 mm up to 880×400 mm) and multiple stud-spacing options make it suitable for a wide range of display models and wall constructions, while a built-in pull-cord kickstand, integrated padlock shackle, and ClickConnect latch make it equally well-suited for professional integrators who need speed, security, and confidence on the job.

Centerless Lateral Shift — No Re-Drilling

The LSM1U's Centerless Shift system allows up to 44,1 cm of left-right adjustment after the display is fully mounted. In practice this means an installer can hang the wall plate to studs, then slide the display left or right across the entire available range without touching the wall again. This eliminates the most common frustration in fixed-mount installs: discovering the display is off-centre relative to furniture, a camera, or an architectural feature only after the screen is up. For end users in corporate boardrooms, classrooms, or retail environments, the result is a display that sits exactly where it needs to be — flush, centred, and permanent.

Post-Installation Height and Level Correction

ControlZone levelling provides 2,5 cm of vertical micro-adjustment after installation — enough to correct for imperfect stud placement or uneven wall surfaces without removing the display. Combined with level correction, this feature is particularly valuable in installations where a precise horizontal alignment matters: video-conferencing rooms where the camera must sit level with the display, digital signage at eye level in retail aisles, or teaching walls in classrooms. Correcting a 1–2 cm height error on a large-format display after it is already on the wall, without assistance, is a significant time-saver during commissioning.

ClickConnect Latch for Install Confidence

ClickConnect is an audible and tactile latching system that confirms — with a clear click — that the display has fully engaged with the mount. On large-format displays where the connection point is hidden behind the panel and cannot be seen during the final hang, this removes ambiguity about whether the screen is properly seated. For integrators working at height or in confined spaces, the audible signal eliminates the need to visually verify each latch point, reducing both install time and the risk of an improperly seated display. End users benefit from a display that is provably secured from day one.

Pull-Cord Kickstand for Rear Access

A built-in pull-cord kickstand offsets the bottom of the display and mount by 15 degrees, creating a gap behind the screen without removing the display from the wall. This is directly useful in commercial installations where cables, signal sources, or media players are routed behind the panel and occasionally need to be reached — for example, swapping a USB drive, reconnecting a source, or adding a cable. Quick-Store magnetic cord management keeps the pull cords neatly stored when not in use, so the installation remains tidy during normal operation.

Universal VESA and Stud Compatibility

The LSM1U accepts VESA mounting patterns from 100×100 mm up to 880×400 mm, covering the vast majority of commercial displays in the large-format segment. Multiple installation options for varying stud distances and included nesting spacers — which can be stacked to achieve virtually any wall-to-display depth — mean the same mount works across different wall constructions and display thicknesses without requiring additional adapters in most cases. An open wall-plate design also allows mounting directly over existing electrical outlets, which is common in retrofit installations. This breadth of compatibility reduces the SKU count integrators need to stock.

UL Listed with Integrated Security Features

The LSM1U carries UL certification, meeting the independent safety standards required for commercial and institutional deployments — including healthcare and education environments where liability and insurance requirements often mandate listed hardware. Beyond certification, the mount includes set screws that lock adjustments in place once the display is positioned, and an integrated padlock shackle (accepting shackles up to 8 mm diameter) that allows a physical lock to be added for added tamper resistance in public-access or semi-public installations such as hotel lobbies, retail floors, or airport gates.
