Extra-large fixed wall mount for large displays

Chief XSM1U

The Chief XSM1U is an extra-large fixed wall display mount from the Fusion® series, engineered for professional AV installations where large-format screens — typically 55 to 82 inches — need to be mounted securely, cleanly and low-profile. Designed with input from professional installers, it solves real-world installation challenges for corporate lobbies, conference rooms, retail environments and command centres. The mount keeps displays in a fixed landscape orientation while providing generous post-installation adjustment options, making it equally suited to initial fit-out and retrofit projects where exact positioning can only be confirmed once the screen is up on the wall.

Centerless Lateral Shift — Unlimited Centering

Centerless Lateral Shift — Unlimited Centering

Unlike conventional wall mounts that fix the display horizontally the moment it is bolted to the wall, the XSM1U uses a Centerless Shift mechanism that allows up to 54,3 cm of left-right travel after the screen is fully hung. This is critical in situations where cable runs, structural uprights or architectural features mean the wall anchor points cannot sit precisely behind the desired screen centre — common in retrofit projects and older buildings. The practical benefit is that an installer can first achieve a solid structural fix to studs or concrete, then slide the display to the correct visual centre without any re-drilling. It also means a display can be repositioned weeks or months later if a room layout changes, again without touching the wall fixings.

ControlZone Post-Install Height and Levelling

ControlZone Post-Install Height and Levelling

The ControlZone system provides 25 cm of micro-zone height adjustment and levelling that can be carried out after the display is mounted — a significant time-saver on professional installations where the final screen height is determined by sightlines in the room rather than by the position of wall studs. Fine levelling is equally important in corporate and retail environments where a slightly tilted display reads as unprofessional. Being able to make these corrections without removing the screen eliminates the need for a second lift crew visit, reducing both installation cost and disruption to the end-user's space.

Post-install. Shift 54 cm. Level 25 cm. No re-drilling.

ClickConnect — Confirmed Safe Engagement

ClickConnect — Confirmed Safe Engagement

ClickConnect is Chief's audible latching system: when the display bracket seats fully onto the wall mount rails, the mechanism emits a distinct click that confirms correct engagement. For large, heavy displays — up to 114 kg — this matters. Without an audible or tactile confirmation, an installer cannot be certain the screen is fully seated, creating a risk of the display dropping during or after installation. The click eliminates guesswork and removes the need for a second person to visually verify engagement from the side. Set screws can then be tightened to lock the mount rigid for the life of the installation.

Pull-Cord Kickstand for Easy Cable Access

Pull-Cord Kickstand for Easy Cable Access

A built-in pull-cord release system tilts the bottom of the display and mount outward by 15 degrees, opening a gap between the screen and the wall without requiring the display to be removed. This is essential for any installation where cables need to be managed, changed or added after the screen is in place — which is almost always the case in live AV environments where signal sources, AV-over-IP adapters or media players are updated over the lifecycle of the installation. The kickstand approach also reduces wear on connectors, since the screen does not have to be fully lifted off the mount to gain rear access.

Open Wall Plate and Teardrop Design — Faster Install

Open Wall Plate and Teardrop Design — Faster Install

The wall plate uses an open design that allows mounting directly over electrical outlets — useful in commercial spaces where power sockets were placed before the display position was finalised. The teardrop keyhole slots in the wall plate allow the mounting bolts to be driven into studs or anchors before the plate is hung, so one installer can set the bolts and then lift and hang the plate alone. Combined with nesting spacers that can be stacked to achieve any required depth offset from wall to display, the XSM1U handles a wide variety of architectural wall constructions without requiring custom spacer kits.

Broad VESA Compatibility and Accessory Ecosystem

Broad VESA Compatibility and Accessory Ecosystem

With a VESA pattern range from 100×100 mm to 1070×600 mm, the XSM1U is compatible with virtually every large-format display on the market, including commercial screens from Samsung, LG, NEC and similar brands. The Fusion accessory rail system allows CPU holders (FCA112, FCA113) and AV component shelves (FCA810, FCA811) to be attached directly to the mount, so media players, codecs or other rack-compatible components can be stored neatly behind or beside the display. The entire accessory assembly can be adjusted together with the mount — meaning a relocated display brings all its attached equipment with it.
