Chief FCA815

The Chief FCA815 is a Fusion® series component shelf designed to mount above or below large (L) and extra-large (XL) displays in professional AV installations. It attaches directly to any Fusion series wall mount, ceiling mount, cart or stand, adding a dedicated 20,3 cm wide platform for video conferencing equipment, AV components or cameras — without the need for a separate stand or bracket. Aimed at integrators working in corporate meeting rooms, education facilities and digital signage environments, the FCA815 keeps peripheral devices close to the display in a clean, organised arrangement. A raised lip along the shelf edge prevents equipment from sliding off, and the height of the shelf relative to the display adjusts across a wide range depending on the mount configuration used.

Universal Fusion Series Compatibility

The FCA815 is engineered to attach to any mount, cart or stand in Chief's Fusion series — covering wall mounts, ceiling mounts, floor carts and stands. This matters in practice because integrators often mix Fusion hardware across a project or upgrade a room over time: adding the FCA815 shelf later requires no adapter and no additional hardware, provided the base mount is already Fusion. The result for the end user is a shelf solution that travels with the installation — if the mount is swapped for a different Fusion model, the shelf simply transfers across without re-purchasing accessories.

Flexible Above or Below Positioning

The shelf can be configured to sit either above or below the display, with the height from the centre of the screen to the shelf surface adjustable between approximately 31,3 cm and 79,1 cm depending on the mount type in use. This flexibility is relevant when the display is installed at a fixed height dictated by the room — the integrator can choose whether to place the shelf above (for a webcam or speaker bar) or below (for a codec or media player) to suit the use case and cable routing. The end user benefits from a tidy, purpose-positioned shelf rather than a generic bracket that compromises cable management.

Integrated Safety Lip Prevents Equipment Slippage

A raised lip runs along the outer edge of the shelf surface, physically stopping equipment from sliding off. This is a relevant consideration in environments where the display mount is subject to vibration (mobile carts, thin-wall installations with door slamming) or where the shelf is loaded with lightweight but valuable peripherals such as a webcam or a small codec. The lip keeps equipment securely in place day to day without requiring cable ties or additional retention hardware, reducing the risk of dropped and damaged equipment in active meeting rooms.

Compact Footprint for Component Equipment

The usable shelf area of 20,3 x 19,4 cm with a rated load of 4,5 kg is sized to accommodate common video conferencing peripherals — a typical compact camera, speaker bar, codec unit or streaming device falls within both the dimensional and weight envelope. This makes the FCA815 a straightforward specification choice for standard corporate UC deployments: the integrator can confirm component fit before installation without custom fabrication or workarounds.
