Chief FCA850

The Chief FCA850 is a Fusion® side camera shelf designed for professional AV and videoconferencing installations. It attaches directly to Chief's Fusion flat panel mount ecosystem, positioning a conferencing camera to the left or right of the display for an optimal sightline during video calls. Infinitely adjustable along the mount's uprights, it accommodates a wide range of display sizes and allows post-installation fine-tuning of camera height and level without needing to remove or re-hang equipment. The FCA850 is compatible with a broad selection of PTZ and conference cameras — including Vaddio RoboSHOT, Logitech Rally, and Sony SRG series — making it a versatile, future-ready accessory for meeting rooms, classrooms, and collaboration spaces.

Optimal Camera Placement for Video Calls

The FCA850 positions the conferencing camera to either side of the flat panel display rather than above or below it, which significantly reduces the gaze offset that makes remote participants feel participants are looking past them. In huddle rooms and smaller meeting spaces where the display is close to eye level, side placement is often the most ergonomic option. Participants on both ends of the call perceive more natural eye contact, improving the perceived quality and professionalism of the meeting without any changes to the room layout.

Infinite Adjustment — No Re-Installation

The shelf slides freely along the full height of the Fusion mount's uprights, allowing installers to dial in the exact camera position for any display size before locking it down. More importantly, post-installation leveling and height adjustment are built in — so if the room layout changes, a camera is swapped for a taller model, or the display is repositioned, the camera shelf can be re-tuned in minutes without dismounting the TV or revisiting the wall plate. This dramatically reduces the cost of changes over the lifetime of the installation.

Broad Camera Compatibility

Out of the box, the FCA850 is verified compatible with a wide range of professional PTZ and USB conference cameras: the full Vaddio RoboSHOT 12E and 30E family (USB, HDMI, NDI, SDI, AVBMP variants), the Vaddio ConferenceSHOT 10 and ConferenceSHOTFX, EasyIP 10, Logitech Rally, Sony SRG-120 and Sony SRG-300. The 2,3 kg (5 lb) load rating covers virtually all cameras in these families. For environments that standardise on a particular camera model across multiple rooms, this removes any compatibility guesswork and supports bulk rollouts with confidence.

Native Fusion Ecosystem Integration

The FCA850 is engineered specifically for the Chief Fusion modular mounting platform and integrates directly with Fusion wall mounts (XTM1U, LTM1U, MTM1U, LTA1U, MTA1U) and floor stands (XSM1U, LSM1U, MSM1U, LSA1U, MSA1U). Because it is a true Fusion accessory rather than a generic bracket, it shares the same design language, connection points and structural tolerances as the host mount — meaning no adapters, no improvised brackets and a clean, unified appearance on the wall. For multi-room standardisation projects this is especially valuable: one shelf model works across the entire Fusion-equipped estate.
