120-inch 4K Triple Laser Ultra Short Throw TV
Hisense 120L9QD
The Hisense 120L9QD is a premium 4K Ultra Short Throw Laser TV designed to bring a full cinema experience into the living room. Powered by the advanced LPU Digital Laser Engine 2.0 with triple RGB laser technology, it delivers 5000 lumens of brightness and Pantone-validated colour accuracy covering the full BT.2020 spectrum. It ships with a 120-inch Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) screen engineered for performance in any lighting condition — day or night. Recognised with the 2025 iF Design Award, 2025 IFA Innovation Award (Best in Home Entertainment), and the Red Dot Design Award, the L9Q pairs outstanding optics with a 6.2.2 audio system co-developed with Devialet and the Opéra de Paris, making it the centrepiece of any premium home cinema or residential AV installation.

LPU Digital Laser Engine 2.0 — 5000 Lumens Triple RGB Laser
The heart of the L9QD is Hisense's most advanced laser light source, combining independent red, green, and blue laser diodes in the LPU Digital Laser Engine 2.0. Unlike single- or dual-laser projectors that synthesise colours digitally, the RGB triple-laser approach generates all three primary colours simultaneously, enabling the projector to cover 107% of the BT.2020 colour space with Pantone and SkinTone Validation. The result is 5000 ANSI lumens of brightness paired with 5000:1 native contrast — a combination that keeps images vivid and shadow detail visible even in open-plan living rooms with large windows. Real-time AI processing continuously fine-tunes brightness, contrast, and noise reduction per frame, which means the picture adapts automatically to different content types without manual calibration by the end user.

Ultra Short Throw Design — 0.18 Throw Ratio, Up to 200 Inches
With an ultra short throw lens ratio of just 0.18, the L9QD can project a full 120-inch image from a distance of only a few centimetres — placing it flat against a wall unit or AV cabinet in the same way a conventional TV would sit. When more screen real estate is needed, the same projector scales to a massive 200 inches, making it highly flexible for different room sizes. The active auto screen alignment feature uses built-in cameras to detect and fit the projected image to the ALR screen automatically, eliminating the need for manual keystone correction or fiddly setup. For installers, this dramatically reduces commissioning time and ensures a clean, professional result from the first switch-on.

Included 120-Inch ALR Screen with 8-Layer Anti-Glare Optics
The L9QD ships complete with a 120-inch Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) screen engineered to work specifically with the projector's laser output. The screen uses eight distinct optical layers — including a Fresnel lens layer, cylindrical lens layer, speckle suppression layer, and a spectrum-selective reflective coating — that collectively reject ambient light from above and the sides while directing the laser image toward the viewer. Light uniformity covers 80% of the screen surface edge-to-edge, which prevents the hot-spot or dimming-at-corners effect common on lesser screens. The new flexible-format ALR screen design is also significantly lighter and simpler to install than previous rigid versions, reducing site installation time. A Calman-verified factory calibration ensures white point accuracy and colour fidelity match the projector's output from day one.

Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced and HDR10+ Certification
The L9QD carries simultaneous certification for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG — a combination that covers virtually every premium content format currently available on streaming platforms, 4K Blu-ray, and broadcast. IMAX Enhanced certification means the projector has been validated by DTS and IMAX engineers for both picture calibration and compatible DTS:X audio decoding, giving users access to the expanded IMAX field-of-view and sound mix on supported titles. Filmmaker Mode disables all post-processing and presents content at the director's original frame rate, aspect ratio, and colour grading, which is particularly valued by discerning home cinema users who want accurate rather than enhanced presentation.

6.2.2 Devialet Audio System — 10 Speakers, 100W+
Rather than relying on a separate soundbar, the L9QD houses a 6.2.2 speaker configuration directly in the projector chassis. The system comprises ten individually tuned drivers — two upfiring channels for Atmos height effects, dual downward-firing subwoofers for bass extension, and front-firing mid and treble drivers — with the entire acoustic architecture co-designed and calibrated by Devialet and the Opéra de Paris acoustic team. Total power output is 2×15W (tweeters and upfirers) + 2×15W (mids) + 2×10W (upfirers) + 2×8W + 2×10W. This means the system delivers a genuine, room-filling cinematic soundstage without any additional equipment, cables, or amplifier pairing — an important advantage for clean, simplified residential installations where a separate AV receiver is not desired.

VIDAA Smart OS with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth and Smart Home Integration
The L9QD runs Hisense's VIDAA U9 smart TV platform, which provides access to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, and major regional streaming services with personalised content recommendations. Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax, 6 GHz band) and Bluetooth, ensuring low-latency streaming of high-bitrate 4K HDR content without congestion from neighbouring 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz networks. The projector also integrates with Control4 and URC smart home automation platforms, enabling centralised control of input switching, volume, and power alongside lighting and other AV equipment in a professionally configured system. Anyview Cast (Miracast) and Anyview Stream enable wireless screen mirroring from smartphones and laptops.

Multiple Award-Winning Design
The 120L9QD has earned four of the AV and design industry's most prestigious recognitions: the 2025 iF Design Award, the 2025 IFA Innovation Award in the Best in Home Entertainment category, the Red Dot Design Award, and the distinction of being ranked the world's No. 1 Laser TV brand by global shipment share from 2019 to 2024 (Omdia data). The physical design is inspired by the circular stage lights of the Royal Opera House and the acoustic geometry of Roman amphitheatres, giving the unit a distinctive aesthetic that complements premium living room furniture rather than dominating it. For dealers, these credentials provide strong, independently verifiable sales validation when presenting the product against competing UST platforms.
