The LG 32UL5Q-M is a 32-inch Full HD commercial signage display built for continuous 24/7 operation in retail, hospitality, corporate lobbies, restaurants, healthcare facilities and transportation hubs. It combines LG's webOS 6.1 smart signage platform with an even-bezel design, an auto-brightness sensor, and a comprehensive remote monitoring and control toolkit, allowing content and device management from a mobile device or PC. Support for both landscape and portrait mounting, along with an up/down tilt capability, makes it easy to place the display at the ideal viewing angle regardless of installation height, so it fits neatly into a wide range of commercial environments without requiring an external media player.
webOS 6.1 Standalone Signage
The 32UL5Q-M ships with LG's webOS 6.1 smart signage platform built in, so it can schedule content, play from USB, stream over the network and run SuperSign or third-party HTML5 apps without any external media player. That removes an entire piece of hardware from the install — no separate PC or player to mount, cable and update behind the screen — which cuts BOM cost, simplifies the rack and eliminates one common point of failure. The intuitive GUI also means on-site staff can perform basic content swaps themselves, reducing service call-outs for routine updates in retail, QSR or corporate reception environments.
True 24/7 Duty Cycle
The panel is engineered for continuous 24-hour, 7-day operation with a minimum 50,000-hour lifetime, which is the differentiator between a commercial signage display and a repurposed consumer TV. In practice this means the display will keep running in always-on scenarios — airport information boards, hospital wayfinding, hotel lobbies, 24-hour QSR menus — without the burn-in, dimming or warranty-void issues that come from running a domestic TV around the clock. LG also offers an optional extended warranty covering up to five years or 50,000 hours, giving end customers a predictable service window.
Even Bezel Design
All four sides of the frame use the same 11.9 mm bezel width, giving the display a symmetrical, modern look whether it is mounted in landscape or portrait. The uniform edge makes wall installations sit flush and squared regardless of orientation and looks especially clean in higher-end retail, luxury and hospitality settings where the display is part of the interior design rather than just a screen. It also simplifies the visual layout when several UL5Q-M units are installed side by side in an information zone or menu-board row.
Landscape, Portrait & Tilt Flexibility
The 32UL5Q-M officially supports both landscape and portrait installation and adds an up/down tilt capability of up to 15 degrees. That matters at install time: the display can be mounted high above eye level — for example above a bar, counter or shop entrance — and tilted downward so viewers are not looking at a distorted image from below, or mounted low and tilted up. Combined with the 200 × 200 mm VESA pattern, it drops onto standard commercial mounts and adapts to the room instead of forcing the room to adapt to the screen.
Auto Brightness Sensor
A front-mounted ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the panel's output to the surrounding lighting conditions. Content stays readable when daylight floods a shop window in the morning, and the same screen dims back to a comfortable level in the evening — without anyone touching a setting. Alongside the visual benefit, dimming when the room is dark cuts power draw and heat, which extends panel life and lowers running cost in installations that operate around the clock. Enhanced Kernel Protection Security
LG's Enhanced Kernel Protection (EKP) hardens the display's operating system against unauthorised access and tampering, and the platform is certified to ISO/IEC 15408 Common Criteria EAL2. For deployments in banking lobbies, government reception areas, healthcare corridors or corporate campuses, this level of certification is often a procurement requirement, not a nice-to-have. In practice it protects the CMS credentials stored on the device and reduces the risk that a networked display becomes an entry point into the customer's wider IT environment.
Remote Monitoring & Control
A built-in web-based management interface, together with optional LG ConnectedCare cloud service, lets administrators view real-time status, review historical performance data, push settings changes and troubleshoot faults from a phone or laptop anywhere on the network. That combination covers almost every install case out of the box: wired network for CMS traffic, wireless if cabling is impractical, RS-232 for Crestron/AMX rooms, USB for offline content and local speakers so no external audio system is needed for a menu board or information point.
