The Chief RSMAUW is a Mini RPA Elite Universal Projector Mount designed for smaller projectors where space and precision matter. Roughly one-third more compact than the full-size RPA Elite, it retains all the flagship features: MicroZone micro-adjustment for precise projector alignment, Centris Technology for effortless weight-compensating repositioning, a Q-Lock Quick Release Lever for fast service access, and integrated cable management routed through the top of the mount. The keyed locking system (Key A) adds a security layer suitable for educational and corporate environments. With a universal mounting interface and a 360° yaw range, the RSMAUW fits a wide variety of projector models and ceiling configurations without additional adapters.
MicroZone Precision Adjustment
MicroZone is Chief's system of fine micro-adjustments that lets an installer dial in exact projector positioning — including in flush-mount configurations where there is little room to manoeuvre. The ability to make small, controlled corrections after the mount is fixed to the ceiling dramatically reduces setup time and eliminates the back-and-forth that comes with coarse adjustment systems. For the end user, this means the projected image lands precisely on screen from day one, with no keystoning or off-axis shift caused by mount imprecision — an important outcome in permanent boardroom, classroom or auditorium installations.
Centris Self-Balancing Technology
Centris Technology is a built-in counterbalance mechanism that senses the weight of the connected projector and self-adjusts to hold it in position with minimal force. In practice, this means an installer can reposition the projector with one finger rather than fighting against gravity or tightening multiple bolts. It also means that after a lamp change or filter clean — where the projector is briefly detached and reattached — the mount returns the unit to the correct position without re-alignment. Q-Lock Quick Release with Keyed Security
The Q-Lock system combines a quick-connect/disconnect lever with an integrated keyed lock (Key A on the RSMAUW). The lever allows authorised personnel to detach the projector rapidly for lamp or filter maintenance without tools, while the key lock prevents unauthorised removal. With four key variants available across the RSM series, estates with multiple rooms can be set up so that classroom keys do not work in other spaces. Integrated Cable Management
Cables route through the top of the mount body without needing add-on cable management accessories. This keeps signal and power cables concealed inside the mounting column or ceiling void from the point of connection, producing a clean finish visible from below. In environments where cable aesthetics matter — retail presentations, executive boardrooms, houses of worship — this detail avoids the need for separate trunking or cable ties that can work loose over time. It also simplifies future servicing, since cables follow a known and fixed path.
Universal Interface & Wide Adjustment Range
The RSMAUW uses a universal projector interface that accommodates the majority of small projector models without a brand-specific adapter. Combined with 360° yaw, ±15° pitch and ±3° roll, virtually any off-axis installation — angled ceilings, asymmetric rooms, short-throw setups — can be corrected at the mount itself. The load capacity is 11,3 kg, which covers the vast majority of compact laser and lamp projectors in the classroom and meeting-room segment.
