Chief RSAU — Compact universal ceiling projector mount
The Chief RSAU is a compact universal ceiling-mount projector bracket designed for smaller and lighter projectors where a full-size RPA mount would be disproportionate. One-third smaller than the standard RPA series, it retains all the precision alignment features of the larger model, making it well suited to boardrooms, classrooms, and smaller auditoriums where an unobtrusive installation is required. The mount ships fully assembled, minimising on-site preparation time, and is compatible with Chief's extensive ecosystem of ceiling plates, fixed and adjustable extension columns, and structural adapters — giving integrators the flexibility to accommodate virtually any ceiling type or drop height.

Precise Three-Axis Adjustment
The RSAU provides independent roll (±3°), pitch (20°) and full 360° yaw adjustment. Each axis is adjusted separately, meaning dialling in one plane does not disturb the others — a significant practical advantage over cheaper mounts where adjusting yaw can throw off pitch. For an end user this translates directly into a sharp, correctly positioned image from first power-on, without the iterative trial-and-error that wastes time during commissioning. The 360° yaw range also means the projector body can be rotated to route cables neatly regardless of ceiling structure.

Quick Connect/Disconnect Without Losing Alignment
Once the RSAU is aligned, the projector can be disconnected from the mount head and reattached — for lamp replacement, filter cleaning, or firmware servicing — without altering the stored roll, pitch or yaw settings. In practice this means a technician can swap a lamp in minutes rather than spending additional time re-aligning the image after the service visit. For venues such as conference rooms or lecture theatres with tight turnaround schedules, this dramatically reduces the downtime associated with routine projector maintenance.

All-Points Security Locking Hardware
Every connection point on the RSAU uses Chief's All-Points Security system: steel inserts that lock directly into mating steel receivers, with no exposed bolts that can be undone with a standard tool. This applies at the ceiling plate, the extension column, and the projector interface bracket. In public or semi-public spaces — education, hospitality, houses of worship — where projector theft is a realistic risk, this integrated hardware provides a meaningful deterrent without requiring a separate aftermarket lock.

Flexible Installation Across Ceiling Types
The RSAU accepts three different connection methods: direct flush mount to a hard ceiling, standard 6,35 mm (0.25") threaded rods for suspended-ceiling scenarios, and 38 mm (1.5" NPT) extension columns from Chief's CMS/CMA range. This single mount therefore covers the vast majority of ceiling structures encountered in commercial fit-outs. The compatible column ecosystem spans fixed lengths from 7,6 cm up to 182,8 cm and adjustable spans up to 274,3 cm, so the correct drop height can be achieved in virtually any room without custom fabrication.
