Chief RSAUW — Compact universal ceiling projector mount, white
The Chief RSAUW is a Mini Universal RPA Projector Mount designed for smaller, lighter projectors in classrooms, conference rooms, and AV installations where a slimmer footprint is required. One-third smaller than Chief's standard RPA mount, it retains the full feature set of the RPA series including independent three-axis fine-tuning for precise projector alignment. With multiple ceiling installation options — direct flush mount, threaded rod, or 1.5" NPT column — it integrates seamlessly into a wide range of Chief projection systems. UL Listed and finished in white, it suits clean, professional ceiling installations.

Three-Axis Adjustment Without Re-Registration
The RSAUW provides independent roll (±3°), pitch (±20°) and a full 360° yaw adjustment, each set separately so installers can dial in a perfectly level, centred image without fighting compound movements. Crucially, the quick-connect/disconnect mechanism lets the projector be removed for lamp or filter servicing and then re-attached in exactly the same position — preset adjustments are preserved. In a classroom or corporate space where projector maintenance is routine, this eliminates the need to realign the image after every service visit.

Flexible Ceiling Installation Options
The RSAUW supports three distinct installation methods: direct flush mount to a ceiling structure, suspension on 6 mm threaded rods, or attachment to a 1.5" NPT extension column. This flexibility means the same mount can be used in a flat concrete ceiling, a T-bar suspended ceiling with a drop column, or an open structural ceiling with threaded rod drops — without swapping hardware. For integrators working across varied venue types, this versatility reduces SKU count and simplifies inventory.

All-Points Security Against Theft
Chief's All-Points Security system uses steel-into-steel locking hardware at every connection point on the mount — head, column interface and ceiling plate. There are no exposed plastic locking tabs that can be forced. In high-traffic environments such as schools, houses of worship or hospitality venues where projector theft is a real risk, this provides a meaningful deterrent and can reduce insurance liability. The security feature requires no additional accessories — it is built into the RSAUW as standard.

Compact Form Factor for Smaller Projectors
At 3,6 cm tall and 11,2 × 11,3 cm in footprint, the RSAUW is one-third smaller than Chief's full-size RPA mount, and its 11,3 kg load capacity matches the weight range of most compact business and education projectors. Choosing the right-sized mount matters: an oversized head on a small projector looks ungainly and can shift the centre of gravity unfavourably. The RSAUW is sized to complement the projector rather than overwhelm it, keeping the overall ceiling installation clean and professional.
