NETGEAR APM414SD-10000S — Neutrik fiber interface card for M4350 switches
The NETGEAR APM414SD is an optional modular interface card for the NETGEAR AV Series M4350 (MSM4320) fully managed switch. It equips the switch with two ruggedized Neutrik opticalCON DUO connectors carrying four multimode fiber (MMF) transceivers at 10G or 25G speeds, bringing broadcast-grade, lockable fiber connectivity to AV-over-IP and Pro AV deployments. Built for live events, broadcast studios, houses of worship and large fixed installations, the card lets integrators tailor the uplink configuration of the M4350 to a specific project instead of being locked into fixed ports. Its locking Neutrik interface and modular design make it ideal where reliable, repeatedly-mated fiber connections must survive demanding touring and on-stage environments.

Locking Neutrik opticalCON Fiber Connectors
The card terminates fiber through two Neutrik opticalCON DUO connectors rather than bare LC couplings. These are the same ruggedized, push-pull locking connectors used throughout the live-events and broadcast world, with sealing caps and strain relief that keep dust and accidental knocks from interrupting the link. In practice this means the fiber stays mated and clean through repeated patching, touring and on-stage use, where a standard LC connector would be vulnerable. For the operator running a show, that translates into far fewer dropped optical links at the worst possible moment and confidence that a cable can be unplugged and re-seated night after night without degrading.

Multimode Fiber at 10G and 25G
The APM414SD carries four multimode-fiber transceivers and runs them at either 10G or 25G, giving the M4350 high-bandwidth optical uplinks over the cost-effective MMF cabling already common in AV and campus installs. Multimode is the right choice for the shorter in-building and on-site runs typical of stages, studios and equipment rooms, where pulling single-mode would add cost without benefit. The 25G headroom means a single pair of connectors can backhaul large numbers of uncompressed AV-over-IP streams, so the operator gets a network core that will not bottleneck as channel counts grow.

Modular Card for Flexible Uplinks
Because the M4350 MSM4320 accepts interchangeable interface cards, the APM414SD lets the uplink be matched to the job: multimode fiber here, versus copper RJ45 (APM414C), SFP28 (APM414V) or single-mode fiber (APM414LD) on sister cards. This keeps a single switch platform usable across very different sites and lets the connectivity be changed later without replacing the whole switch. For the end user it means the installed switch can be re-tasked as a venue evolves, protecting the original investment and reducing the spares that need to be stocked.
