NETGEAR APM414V — 4-port 25G SFP28 switch interface card
The NETGEAR APM414V is a modular interface card that equips the NETGEAR M4350-16M4V (MSM4320) AV Series managed switch with four standard 25G SFP28 uplink ports. It ships as the default card with the MSM4320 and gives integrators high-bandwidth, fibre-ready uplinks for connecting AV-over-IP edge switches into a core or aggregation layer. Aimed at Pro AV, broadcast and IT installers building SMPTE ST 2110 and AVB-based media networks, the card provides the headroom needed to carry uncompressed and lightly compressed multicast video between racks and rooms. Because the M4350 platform uses a swappable-card design, the APM414V also lets installers tailor or replace a switch's uplink type without changing the chassis.

Four 25G SFP28 Uplinks
The APM414V adds four standard 25G SFP28 uplink ports to the M4350-16M4V chassis. 25GbE gives roughly two-and-a-half times the bandwidth of a 10G uplink on the same fibre footprint, which matters in AV-over-IP networks where a single switch may aggregate many uncompressed 1080p or 4K multicast streams. In practice this headroom keeps video flowing without congestion as a room or rack fills with sources and displays, so the people watching the walls and monitors see clean, glitch-free pictures rather than dropped frames during peak load. SFP28 cages also accept standard 25G, 10G and DAC optics, letting the installer match the link to the distance and fibre already in the building.

Modular Swappable Card Design
The M4350 platform uses interchangeable interface cards, and the APM414V is the 25G SFP28 variant that ships by default with the MSM4320. Alternatives such as the APM414C (4x 10G RJ-45), APM414SD and APM414LD (Neutrik opticalCON fibre) drop into the same slot. This means the uplink type can be chosen to suit the site's existing cabling and changed later without replacing the whole switch, protecting the original investment as a venue's infrastructure evolves. For the operator it translates into less disruptive upgrades and continuity of the installed AV system over its life.

Built for AV-over-IP and Broadcast
The host M4350 switch carries NETGEAR AV OS, NETGEAR IGMP Plus and Engage Controller profiles, plus SMPTE ST 2110 Grandmaster and Boundary Clock support for AES67 and ST2059-2. The APM414V's 25G uplinks are the transport that ties these AV islands together across a facility. Combined with the switch's AVB support and out-of-the-box multicast handling, this lets audio and video sync tightly and travel reliably between studios, control rooms and event spaces, so end users get dependable, professionally timed media delivery without manual network tuning.
