The Chief CMS012018 is a Speed-Connect adjustable extension column designed for ceiling-mounted projector and flat panel display installations. Adjustable between 30,5 and 45,7 cm, it gives installers precise drop control to position the display or projector at exactly the right height without structural alterations. Tool-Free Height Adjustment in 2,5 cm Steps
The CMS012018 uses Chief's notched Speed-Connect design, which allows the column length to be changed in 2,54 cm (1") increments without disassembly. In practice this means an installer can dial in the correct drop height — anywhere between 30,5 and 45,7 cm — while the mount is already in place overhead, rather than having to lower the entire assembly to make the change. A set screw locks the chosen position once confirmed, eliminating play or vibration. Integrated Flow-Through Cable Management
An integrated cable port on one end of the column channels signal and power cables through the interior of the pipe rather than along the outside of the structure. Universal 1.5" NPT Compatibility
Both ends of the column carry standard 1.5" NPT threads, making it compatible with the full Chief ecosystem of ceiling plates (CMA101, CMA105, CMA110, CMA115, CMS440 etc.) and projector/display mounts. It can also be coupled with a second column via the CMA270 threaded pipe coupler for extra drop depth.
