Tool-Free Length Adjustment
The CMS006009W uses a notched design that lets the column be set to any length between 15.2 and 22.9 cm in approximately 2.5 cm (1") steps without dismantling the mount system. In practice this means an installer can fine-tune drop height on site — for example to clear a suspended ceiling tile grid or to bring a projector to the precise throw distance — without lowering the entire mount or disturbing cabling. Once the correct length is found, a set screw locks the column firmly in place and also reduces transmission of building vibration into the display, preventing image shake from foot traffic or HVAC systems.
Universal 1.5" NPT Compatibility
Both ends of the column carry standard 1.5" NPT threads, making it compatible with the full range of Chief ceiling plates, spiders, and projector adapters — and with third-party 1.5" NPT hardware. This matters on projects where ceiling structure, tile type, or retrofit constraints mean mixing different mount generations or brands. There is no need for adapter pieces or custom machining, which reduces parts count and installation time.
