Tool-Free Height Adjustment on Site
The CMS0507W uses a patented notched-column design that lets installers change the drop length — anywhere from 152 to 213 cm — in 2,54 cm steps without taking the mount apart. In practice this means the height can be dialled in after the ceiling plate and projector mount are already fitted, saving significant time on site and eliminating the risk of damage caused by repeated disassembly. A set screw locks the column securely once the correct length is found, suppressing vibration transfer from the building structure that would otherwise cause image wobble on a ceiling-hung projector or screen.
Universal 1.5" NPT Compatibility
Both ends of the CMS0507W are threaded to the industry-standard 1.5" NPT pipe specification, the de-facto connection standard across Chief's entire projector and display mounting ecosystem as well as many third-party ceiling plates and accessories. This means the column slots into existing installations or mixed-brand systems without adapters, and opens up a large catalogue of compatible ceiling plates, spider mounts, and projector mounts. A hollow aluminium bore runs the full length of the column, with a dedicated cable-exit port at one end.
