2x1 HDBaseT switcher and transmitter with USB hub
Atlona AT-OME-SW21-TX
The Atlona AT-OME-SW21-TX is a 2×1 switcher and HDBaseT transmitter designed for modern meeting rooms, lecture halls, and hybrid collaboration spaces. It accepts one USB-C and one HDMI input, and delivers mirrored HDMI and HDBaseT outputs — enabling local confidence monitoring alongside long-distance extension. Part of the Omega Series, it extends 4K video, embedded audio, USB 2.0 data, control signals, Ethernet, and power up to 330 feet (100 m) over a single category cable. An integrated USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub supports speakerphones, cameras, and touch displays both locally and at the far end via HDBaseT, making it a self-contained collaboration hub for Zoom, Teams, Webex, and similar UC platforms.

Single-Cable HDBaseT Extension to 330 ft
HDBaseT technology bundles 4K UHD video, embedded audio (including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X pass-through), USB 2.0 data (up to 120 Mbps), Ethernet, control signals, and IEEE 802.3af PoE power onto a single Cat6/6a/7 cable run of up to 330 feet (100 metres) — or 295 ft on Cat5e. This eliminates the rats'-nest of separate signal and power cables that would otherwise be needed between a table connection point and a display wall or rack. For the end user, it means a clean, single-cable desk connection where plugging in one cable simultaneously powers the unit, feeds the display, and establishes USB communication with conferencing equipment at the far end.

Integrated USB Hub and Dual-Host Switching
The OME-SW21-TX includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub running at up to 5 Gbps locally, with two USB-A ports for peripherals (speakerphone, camera, microphone, touch display) and two host ports — USB-C and USB-B — that allow two PCs to be connected simultaneously and switched between. USB host switching can follow video input switching automatically, or be controlled independently. Over HDBaseT, USB 2.0 is extended at up to 120 Mbps to peripherals connected to a compatible Omega receiver at the display. This removes the practical barrier of having conferencing peripherals (camera, codec bar) mounted near the screen while the presenter's laptop sits at the table — the USB path traverses the same category cable as the video, with no extra extender hardware.

Adapter-Free BYOD via USB-C with 60 W Charging
The USB-C input accepts DisplayPort Alternate Mode video plus USB 3.2 Gen 1 data over a single connector, meaning any modern laptop with a USB-C or Thunderbolt port can connect without dongles or adapters. When the AT-PS-245-D4 optional power supply is used, the same USB-C connection simultaneously charges the connected device at up to 60 watts — enough to keep even a high-performance laptop topped up during a long presentation. This single-cable BYOD experience reduces fumbling at the start of a meeting and eliminates the most common support call: "I need a different adapter."

Automatic Input Selection and Display Control
The AT-OME-SW21-TX uses hot-plug detect (HPD) and active video detection to automatically select whichever input is live — reliably handling sources like DisplayPort adapters that assert 5V HPD without delivering active video, a common cause of false-switching failures in competing products. Independently, it controls the connected display via IP, RS-232, or CEC, powering it on when a source connects and off when disconnected (or when the optional AT-OCS-900N occupancy sensor detects an empty room). The result is a fully automated, touchless system: the presenter walks in, plugs in, and the room comes alive — no button presses, no IT calls.

Mirrored Outputs and 4K-to-1080p Downscaling
Both the local HDMI output and the HDBaseT output are active simultaneously and carry the same signal, allowing a confidence monitor at the presenter's location (e.g. a lectern screen) while the main display sits at the far end of an HDBaseT run. The local HDMI output also features selectable 4K-to-1080p downscaling, so an HD sink at the lectern can display a full image without the presenter needing to reconfigure source output resolution. Downscaling can be bypassed to pass 4K/60 4:4:4 and 4K HDR10, Dolby Vision, or HLG when the local monitor supports it. Note: the scaler does not convert frame rates.

PoE Powering — No Local Mains Required
The AT-OME-SW21-TX is powered over the HDBaseT link using IEEE 802.3af PoE supplied by a compatible Atlona receiver or switcher at the far end. This means the unit can be surface-mounted under a table or inside a desk fitting without needing a local AC outlet — a significant practical advantage in retrofit installations or furniture without integrated power. When a local power supply is needed (e.g. for USB-C device charging, or pairing with an HDBaseT projector rather than a powered receiver), the optional AT-PS-245-D4 24V/5A PSU can be added. The front-panel LCD and LED indicators (PWR and LINK) provide at-a-glance status without accessing the web GUI.

NDAA-899 Compliant and Remote Management Ready
The AT-OME-SW21-TX carries NDAA Section 889 compliance, making it eligible for US federal, government, and education procurement without additional vetting. It integrates with Atlona's Velocity Device Manager for remote monitoring, firmware updates, EDID management, and configuration — including the ability to disable HDCP on inputs via the web GUI or a control system, which is important in installations where non-protected local content is shown on HDCP-incapable legacy displays. CE and FCC certification is included, and Atlona provides a standard 3-year warranty.
