6.5" outdoor surface mount speaker, black
Origin Acoustics OS60B
The Origin Acoustics OS60B is a 2-way outdoor on-wall loudspeaker from the Outdoor Collection, designed for residential and light commercial installations where reliable audio performance meets year-round weather resilience. Targeting integrators and AV professionals, it suits patios, pool areas, gardens, covered terraces and commercial hospitality venues where consistent, high-quality background or foreground audio is required. The OS60B pairs a 6.5" Injection Moulded Polypropylene woofer with a 1" high-resolution aluminium tweeter, delivering full-range reproduction from 49 Hz to 20 kHz. Its weather-resistant C-bracket system allows independent vertical and horizontal aiming, so the speaker can always be directed precisely at the listening zone — a practical advantage in asymmetric installation environments. Sold in black finish; a matching white version (OS60W) is available.

IPX66 Weather Protection
The OS60B carries an IPX66 rating under IEC 60529 — meaning it is certified to withstand powerful water jets from any direction, not just rain or splash. This puts it in a higher protection class than many outdoor speakers that carry only IPX4 (splash) or IPX5 ratings. For installations near pools, in pergolas exposed to irrigation spray, or in coastal environments with salt-laden air, this level of sealing meaningfully extends the product's operational lifespan. End users get a speaker they can leave outdoors year-round without seasonal removal, and integrators face fewer warranty or premature-failure conversations down the line.

Independently Adjustable C-Bracket Aiming
The included weather-resistant C-bracket provides two independent degrees of freedom: vertical tilt (adjusted when attaching the C-bracket to the wall mount) and horizontal rotation (adjusted when attaching the speaker to the C-bracket). This two-axis system means the speaker can be precisely aimed toward the listening zone regardless of where structurally it has to be mounted — a real practical advantage when mounting points are dictated by wall construction rather than acoustics. The speaker can also be oriented vertically or horizontally, and the logo rotates to remain upright in either configuration. In practice, this flexibility dramatically reduces the chances of uneven coverage caused by off-axis placement.

100° x 50° Wide Dispersion Pattern
With a nominal coverage angle of 100° horizontal by 50° vertical, the OS60B covers a substantially wider horizontal arc than many competing 6.5" on-wall speakers. This wide dispersion is particularly valuable in outdoor environments where listeners move freely across large, open areas — patios, terraces, pool decks — rather than sitting in a fixed sweet spot. Fewer speaker positions are needed to achieve even coverage, which reduces installation cost and cable runs. At the same time, the narrower 50° vertical pattern helps focus energy toward the audience and minimises wasted energy aimed at the sky or ground.

High-Excursion 6.5" IMPP Woofer
The woofer cone is made from Injection Moulded Polypropylene (IMPP), a material chosen for its combination of rigidity, low mass and moisture resistance — all critical properties for an outdoor driver that must maintain consistent performance across wide temperature swings and humidity levels. The high-excursion design allows greater cone movement, which translates to more bass output at lower power levels. The result is a speaker that sounds full and engaging even at moderate listening volumes outdoors, where the acoustic environment is inherently more lossy than indoors. Frequency response extends to 49 Hz (-10 dB), covering well into the upper bass range without a dedicated subwoofer.

2-Pin Phoenix Connector with Access Door
Speaker wiring terminates via a 2-pin Phoenix connector accessed through a dedicated door on the speaker's front baffle. This tool-assisted screw-clamp connection is far more vibration-resistant and weatherproof than spring-clip terminals, and it keeps the electrical termination neatly enclosed rather than exposed on the rear of the cabinet. From an installation standpoint, the connector is accessible from the front after the speaker is mounted — meaning no need to remove the unit to re-terminate or test the wiring. This is a genuine time-saver in retrofit projects or in locations where rear access is restricted.
