Outdoor surface mount speaker, 6.5" dual-tweeter
Origin Acoustics OS60DTB
The Origin Acoustics OS60DTB is a 6.5" outdoor surface mount speaker from the Outdoor Collection, designed for high-quality audio in demanding exterior environments. The dual-tweeter (DT) configuration and high-excursion IMPP woofer deliver wide, even sound coverage across patios, pool decks, commercial terraces, and architectural outdoor installations. Rated IPX66, the enclosure and powder-coated aluminum grille are engineered to withstand rain, humidity, and UV exposure year-round. The included weather-resistant C-bracket with independent vertical and horizontal angle adjustments makes placement flexible without the need for extra hardware, and the concealed 2-pin Phoenix connector keeps wiring neat and moisture-protected. Sold individually in black.

IPX66 Weather Protection
The OS60DTB carries an IPX66 certification to IEC 60529, meaning the enclosure is tested against powerful water jets from any direction — not just light rain. The HDPE enclosure and powder-coated aluminum grille are built to resist the full range of outdoor stressors: prolonged moisture, temperature cycling, UV radiation, and salt-laden coastal air. For installations in exposed locations — poolside, rooftop bars, covered terraces with seasonal rain exposure — this certification is the difference between a speaker that lasts a single winter and one that performs reliably year after year. End users benefit from a speaker that maintains its appearance and acoustic performance without annual inspection or premature replacement.

Dual-Tweeter Design for Wider Dispersion
Where the standard OS60B uses a single 1" aluminum tweeter, the OS60DTB fits dual 1" aluminum tweeters in the same cabinet. This is a decisive upgrade for coverage: the nominal horizontal dispersion is 100° — a wide angle that serves outdoor seating areas, walking paths, and irregular room shapes without creating hot spots directly in front of the speaker and dead zones to the sides. For AV integrators specifying commercial terraces or large residential decks, the DT variant often allows fewer speaker positions to achieve the target coverage — reducing both material cost and installation labour. End users experience more consistent volume and tonal balance whether they are sitting directly in front of the speaker or seated at an angle.

Pivotable C-Bracket for On-Site Aiming
The OS60DTB ships with a weather-resistant C-bracket that allows independent horizontal rotation and vertical angle adjustment after the bracket is fixed to the wall or ceiling. Vertical angle is set where the C-bracket meets the wall mount; horizontal rotation is adjusted at the speaker-to-C-bracket connection, secured by Torx security screws. This two-axis adjustment means the speaker can be fine-tuned on-site to aim precisely at the listening area — an important detail for outdoor installations where listener positions often dictate speaker placement rather than the other way around. The bracket is also compatible with pole mounting via U-bolt, opening additional placement options on pergolas, freestanding posts, or commercial signage poles.

Sealed Phoenix Connector Access
Wiring connects via a 2-pin Phoenix connector located behind a sealed access door on the front baffle. The connector is protected by a rubber cover and a flush-fitting panel, keeping moisture out of the critical termination point that is most vulnerable in outdoor speaker installations. From a service perspective, Phoenix connectors are also tool-friendly and re-terminatable, making fault-finding straightforward without cutting or re-splicing speaker cable at the enclosure. End users benefit from a wiring termination that does not corrode or intermittently fail due to water ingress — one of the most common causes of outdoor speaker failure in less carefully designed products.
