Chief PG1AW — Lockable steel projector security cage, white
The Chief PG1AW is a heavy-duty projector security cage designed for installations in public or semi-public environments such as schools, gymnasiums, houses of worship, and corporate spaces where projectors are exposed to theft risk or accidental damage. The white powder-coated steel enclosure fully surrounds the projector and its mount, deterring opportunistic theft and protecting against recreational damage. It is compatible with Chief's RPA and RPM ceiling projector mount series and can also attach to 1" and 1.5" NPT pipe for use with RSM and RSA mounts, making it easy to add security to both new and existing installations without disturbing the projector's alignment or settings.

Full Enclosure Theft and Damage Protection
The PG1AW wraps the projector and its ceiling mount in a welded steel cage that locks shut with security screws, with optional padlock points for additional deterrence. In environments where projectors are accessible to the public — school gyms, auditoriums, houses of worship, or unmonitored meeting rooms — physical enclosure is the most reliable defence against both opportunistic theft and deliberate interference. Because the cage attaches around the existing mount rather than replacing it, projector alignment is preserved after installation, meaning no recalibration is needed. Optional padlocks (sold separately) add a further layer without requiring specialist tools on site.

Fits Existing Chief Installations Without Disruption
The cage is engineered to attach to Chief RPA and RPM ceiling projector mounts, as well as to 1" and 1.5" NPT diameter poles used with RSM and RSA series mounts. This means it can be retrofitted to an already-commissioned installation — critical in education or rental environments where the projector is aligned and set up, and any teardown risks losing settings. The adjustable front opening allows it to clear different lens barrel diameters and positions, so a single cage model covers a wide range of short-throw and standard projectors up to 19,1 cm × 50,8 cm × 51,8 cm (H × W × D).

TAA Compliant for Government and Education Procurement
The PG1AW carries TAA (Trade Agreements Act) compliance, meaning it meets US federal procurement requirements for government agencies, public schools, and other federally funded institutions. For integrators working on government or GSA contracts, or on education projects subject to E-rate or state purchasing rules, TAA compliance removes a common procurement obstacle without requiring a product substitution.
