The Simply45® S45-1600P is a Cat6 unshielded pass-through RJ45 modular plug designed for professional low-voltage installers and structured cabling contractors. Part of the ProSeries line, it introduces the patented Cap45® isolation cap that eliminates the electrical shorting risk associated with exposed wire ends in standard pass-through plugs — making it the go-to choice for commercial and certified system terminations. The S45-1600P uses a 3-prong pin that bites into the conductor at three points simultaneously, both improving the electrical connection and physically gripping the wire more firmly. All nine contact pins are plated with 50 microns of true 24-carat gold over 100µ nickel — a specification that resists corrosion and maintains low contact resistance across the plug's lifetime. In PoE and PoH environments, where elevated current flows through the same contacts, lower resistance directly translates to less heat build-up and more stable power delivery to connected devices. The S45-1600P's internal geometry is engineered to allow the LAN cable to be inserted deeper into the plug body than typical designs, minimising the untwisted section of each pair right up to the crimp point.
