Super Rod SRGLIDER-P

The Super Rod Glo Glider is a routing accessory for electricians and cable installers who need to guide rods through awkward, obstructed spaces such as lofts, ceiling voids and floor cavities. Fitted to the end of a cable rod, it lets the rods glide over uneven surfaces and skip past joists, insulation and debris instead of digging in or snagging. Its standout feature is a luminescent body that absorbs ambient light and glows in the dark, so the installer can follow exactly where the rod is travelling in dim or enclosed areas. Compatible with all Super Rod branded rod kits, it is a simple, low-cost add-on that speeds up cable pulls and reduces failed attempts on every job.

Glow-in-the-Dark Visibility

The glider body is moulded from a luminescent material that absorbs light and then glows in the dark, so the installer can see where the rod head is travelling even inside an unlit loft, ceiling void or wall cavity. On real jobs the rod tip usually disappears into a dark space the moment it enters, leaving the installer guessing; a glowing head removes that guesswork and lets them track progress, spot when the rod has stalled against an obstruction and steer it back on course. The practical result is faster, more confident cable pulls with fewer failed attempts and less time spent re-feeding a rod that went the wrong way.

Glides Over Obstructions

The shaped, lightweight head is designed to ride over uneven surfaces and skip past joists, debris and loft insulation rather than digging in or catching. When routing cable across a ceiling or under a floor, a bare rod tip tends to burrow into insulation or jam against timber, stopping the run; the glider's smooth profile lets it slide over these obstacles so the rod keeps moving toward the target point. For the installer this means cleaner, quicker runs over difficult terrain and far less of the repeated pushing, withdrawing and re-aiming that slows down awkward cable pulls.

Fits All Super Rod Kits

The Glo Glider uses the standard Super Rod threaded connection, so it screws onto any Super Rod branded rod set and works alongside the rest of the system's attachments. This matters because installers rarely buy a glider in isolation; it slots straight into kit they already own and can be swapped on or off as a job demands. The benefit is a single, inexpensive accessory that upgrades an existing rod set for obstructed runs without committing to a whole new tool, keeping the user's kit flexible across different site conditions.
