INOGENI TOGGLE — USB 3.0 BYOM/BYOD conference room switcher
The INOGENI TOGGLE is a professional USB 3.0 BYOM/BYOD switcher designed for conference rooms and collaborative meeting spaces. It connects up to three USB 3.0 devices — such as cameras, microphones, and speakerphones — and seamlessly routes them between two host computers (e.g., a permanently installed room PC and a guest laptop). The TOGGLE eliminates the need for cable repatching or manual reconnection: it automatically detects when a laptop is plugged in, switches all devices over instantly, and reverts to the room PC when the laptop is unplugged. Winner of the 2021 AV Awards for Processing and Distribution Technology of the Year, the TOGGLE is designed and manufactured in Canada and is TAA-compliant, making it a reliable, enterprise-grade choice for IT and AV integrators deploying flexible meeting room infrastructure.

Automatic BYOM/BYOD Host Switching
The TOGGLE continuously monitors its two USB host ports and automatically switches all three connected USB devices to whichever host becomes active. When a visitor plugs in their laptop, the camera, microphone, and speakerphone transfer over within seconds — no button press, no IT support needed. When the laptop is unplugged, everything reverts to the room PC immediately. For end users this means a meeting starts without the usual cable-juggling delay: one cable in, and the room is theirs. This single behaviour eliminates the most common friction point in shared conference rooms and keeps meetings on schedule.

Flexible Control: Auto, Manual & Remote
Beyond automatic switching, the TOGGLE supports a front-panel push-button for manual host selection and full RS-232 serial control (9600 bps) for integration into room control systems. A GPI contact-closure input (0–12 V, open-drain or driven) allows connection to third-party control hardware. Configuration is saved onboard, so the device remembers its last state after a power cycle. A free INOGENI Control App enables firmware updates and current monitoring via USB. This range of control options means the TOGGLE can be embedded into any AV control architecture — from simple push-button panels to fully automated Q-SYS or AMX/Crestron rooms — without compromise.

Broad Ecosystem Compatibility
The TOGGLE is tested and validated with a wide range of professional UC cameras and codecs: Logitech Rally/Rally Bar series, MeetUp, Scribe; Vaddio, HuddleCamHD, Aver, Jabra, Marshall; and more. It integrates directly with Lenovo ThinkSmart videoconferencing systems (Core + Controller and Full Room Kit, both MTR and Zoom Rooms variants) and is compatible with Barco ClickShare Conference (CX-20, CX-30, CX-50). Compatibility with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, Webex and other major UC platforms is by design. This extensive validated compatibility reduces pre-sales qualification time and gives end customers confidence that their existing room equipment will work with the TOGGLE from day one.

Powered USB Ports — No External Hub Needed
The included 12 V / 1.2 A power supply feeds the TOGGLE's three USB device ports with a shared 1.8 A current budget, sufficient to power most USB cameras and audio devices directly from the switcher. This removes the need for a separate powered USB hub in the room, reducing rack or desk clutter and the number of failure points in the installation. Current consumption across all three ports can be monitored in real time via RS-232 or the INOGENI Control App, which is useful during commissioning and for remote troubleshooting of power-related issues.

Driver-Free, Field-Upgradable Design
The TOGGLE requires no software drivers on either host PC — it presents itself as a standard USB hub to the operating system, so there is nothing to install, whitelist or update on managed corporate endpoints. Firmware updates are delivered field-upgradable through the INOGENI Control App over USB, meaning the device can receive new features or bug fixes without any hardware return. Combined with a 5-year warranty and straightforward physical installation (compact 7.0 × 8.3 × 2.3 cm aluminium enclosure, 113 g), the TOGGLE is built for low total cost of ownership across a large installed base.
