The Chief DVM27U2 is a next-generation TiLED dvLED Universal Wall Mount starter unit designed for professional direct-view LED video wall installations. It forms the base of a modular, scalable mounting system sized for interlocking 68,6 cm (27") dvLED panels from leading manufacturers including Absen, Barco, LG, Samsung, Sony, Sharp/NEC, Philips, Planar and many more. Aimed at AV integrators specifying permanent video wall installations in corporate, retail and broadcast environments, the DVM27U2 streamlines procurement, stocking and on-site work through a single universal hardware set. Combined with extender units, virtually any wall dimension can be built with minimal part-number complexity.

Universal Floating Button-Capture Technology

The DVM27U2 uses Chief's H-block floating button-capture system, which is compatible with approximately 90% of interlocking dvLED panels currently on the market — including Absen, Barco, Christie, Hikvision, INFiLED, LG, LianTronics, Philips, Planar, Samsung, Sharp/NEC, Sony and Unilumin series. Unlike brand-specific mounts that lock an integrator into a single panel ecosystem, this single hardware set works across most major manufacturers. In practice, this means that a stock of DVM27U2 units can be deployed on different client projects regardless of which dvLED brand is specified — reducing the risk of mis-ordered or leftover hardware, and shortening the time between panel delivery and a completed installation.

Full 3-Axis Micro-Adjustment for Pixel-Perfect Alignment

The DVM27U2 provides independent X-, Y- and Z-axis adjustability to compensate for uneven walls and tolerances in panel manufacturing. X-axis (lateral) shift reaches up to 0,82 cm, Y-axis (height) adjustment up to 5,08 cm, and a double-depth Z-axis adjustment — macro plus micro — ensures a perfectly flat plane across the entire wall. Chief's independent Y-axis adjustment operates at each individual panel edge, so one panel can be corrected without disturbing its neighbours. The result is zero pixel gaps or misalignment even with sub-1 mm pitch displays, where any deviation is immediately visible to viewers. This level of adjustability can cut installation time from days to hours, which is a direct cost saving on labour-intensive video wall projects.

Modular Starter-plus-Extender System — Easy to Specify

The TiLED series is structured around starter mounts (DVM27U2/U3/U4) that form the wall base, and extender mounts (DVM27U2E/U3E/U4E) that stack on top to reach the desired height. The last digit of each part number directly indicates how many panels high that unit spans — for example DVM27U4 holds four panels, DVM27U3E holds three. A single global part-number set covers all common video wall configurations, so distributors and integrators need to stock only a handful of SKUs. For a 7-wide by 5-high installation, the calculation is straightforward: seven DVM27U3 starters plus seven DVM27U2E extenders. This predictable, modular logic eliminates specification errors and simplifies quoting.

High Structural Load Capacity with Plywood-Wall Mounting

Each DVM27U2 starter unit is rated to carry up to 113,4 kg of combined panel weight. The mount attaches directly to a plywood-reinforced wall surface via screws, which is the standard structural preparation for permanent large-format dvLED installations. At 3,7 kg, the mount itself adds minimal mass to the wall load calculation. The unit ships with a left and right upright rail, two hardware bags, and both M8 and M6 mounting buttons to suit the most common panel attachment formats — reducing on-site improvisation.
