2nd-Gen Universal Interface Bracket Included
The RPAU ships with Chief's SLBU second-generation Universal Interface Bracket, which supports virtually all invertible projectors on the market without requiring a model-specific adapter. For installers, this eliminates the guesswork when a customer's projector brand or model is not yet confirmed at the time of ordering — the mount goes up and works regardless. For the end user, it means the ceiling infrastructure can remain in place even when the projector is later swapped for a different make or model, protecting the installation investment over the lifecycle of the room.
Three-Axis Micro-Adjustment for Precise Alignment
Independent roll (±4°), pitch (±25°), and continuous 360° yaw adjustments are available after the projector is hung. Each axis operates independently, so correcting one dimension does not disturb the others — a significant time-saver during commissioning. Once the image is dialled in, the mount holds its position: the quick-disconnect feature allows the projector to be removed for lamp or filter service and reconnected without affecting the stored registration, so there is no need to re-align the image after every routine maintenance visit.
All-Points Security™ Theft Deterrence
Every connection point on the RPAU uses Chief's proprietary All-Points Security™ system, which locks steel directly into steel rather than relying on plastic clips or friction alone. This is a meaningful consideration in semi-public environments such as school halls, conference centres, and houses of worship, where projectors represent a significant theft target. The locking hardware requires a specific tool to release, making opportunistic removal impractical and reducing the risk of costly equipment loss for the end customer.
Flexible Ceiling Installation Options
The RPAU supports three distinct ceiling fixing methods: direct flush mount to a solid ceiling, a 0.25" threaded rod for shallow drops, or a 1.5" NPT threaded extension column for deeper ceiling voids or suspended tile ceilings. This flexibility means a single SKU handles the majority of architectural scenarios without additional adapters, and the same mount works in a low-profile boardroom installation as well as a church with a high truss ceiling. Combined with the integrated cable management channel through the top of the mount, the finished installation looks clean and requires no visible external cable guides.
