Designed for AV and IT installers who need a fast, reliable, tool-free solution, it uses a single-piece design with an integrated load bar that correctly positions all eight conductors before termination — eliminating the most common cause of failed or marginal RJ45 connections. Its unshielded construction makes it the correct choice for HDBaseT floating-power systems where a shielded connector would introduce ground loops. In HDBaseT AV distribution systems — where the PoE power rail floats relative to chassis ground — using a fully shielded plug at the device end (typically behind a TV or display where an HDMI balun is connected) can create a ground loop that causes audible hum or buzzing on the audio output. Replacing just that one termination with a 10G-FPU breaks the loop while keeping the full 10G electrical performance of the link intact. This is a targeted, low-cost fix that avoids the need to re-cable or add isolation transformers.

The 10G-FPU uses a single-body construction with a built-in load bar that locks all eight conductors into the correct T568A or T568B positions before the termination cap is pressed home. No crimp tool is required — only hand pressure — which means installers can terminate a connection anywhere on site without carrying or powering a dedicated crimper. The load bar also guarantees wire-pair geometry is maintained, directly improving the connector's insertion loss and crosstalk performance.
