The included universal AC power adapter (100–240 V input, 24 V / 1 A output) can be connected to either the PC Host module or the Device module, whichever is closer to a power outlet. The Device module then supplies up to 1 A to the connected USB peripheral, enough to power most USB cameras and speakerphones without a separate power supply. This flexibility removes a common installation headache: in practice, power outlets are rarely located at the exact point where you need them.
