USB 3.2 Gen 1 multi-device extender over CAT6A
INOGENI U-BRIDGE 3
The INOGENI U-BRIDGE 3 is a professional-grade USB 3.2 Gen 1 multi-device extender designed for mid- to large-sized videoconferencing and AV rooms. It bridges USB 3.0 connections between a host PC or room system and up to three peripheral devices — cameras, speakerphones, whiteboards, or other USB gear — over a single CAT6A U/FTP cable, extending far beyond the standard 3-metre USB limit to up to 100 m (330 ft). Consisting of a PC Host module and a Device module, it integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, CODECs, and all major UC platforms. It requires no software drivers, supports all major operating systems, and is made in Canada with TAA compliance and a 5-year warranty.

HDBaseT Link — Reliable 100 m USB Extension
The U-BRIDGE 3 uses HDBaseT-USB3 technology — not passive cable extension or generic repeater chipsets — to transport USB 3.2 Gen 1 signals reliably up to 100 m (330 ft) over a single CAT6A U/FTP cable. HDBaseT was designed for long-haul AV signals and provides the kind of deterministic, low-latency transport that isochronous USB traffic (video streams, audio) demands. In practice, this means 4K USB camera video stays uncompressed and latency-free across an entire floor of a building — eliminating the compromises that plague cheaper USB-over-IP or compressed-relay alternatives. The system is also Power over Cable (PoC) capable, so the entire two-module setup can be powered from whichever end is closer to an outlet, reducing installation complexity in ceiling-mounted or raceway deployments.

Three Simultaneous USB 3.0 Device Ports
The Device module carries three independent USB 3.0 ports — two USB-A and one USB-C — each running at up to 5 Gbps, with up to 1.8 A of shared bus power. This allows a single cable run to serve a full room endpoint: PTZ camera, speakerphone, and a secondary device such as a touch controller, whiteboard, or USB audio processor, all simultaneously and without a separate hub at the room end. The USB-C device port also accepts INOGENI's own converter and switcher products (SHARE2, SHARE2U, CAM230, CAM300, TOGGLE, 4KX-PLUS, etc.), making the U-BRIDGE 3 a natural anchor point in complex multi-device INOGENI ecosystems. Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 means legacy peripherals work without adaptation.

True Plug-and-Play — No Drivers, Any OS
INOGENI's SuperSpeed USB extension is fully transparent to the host system: the PC or room codec sees USB devices exactly as if they were connected locally. No driver installation, no configuration utility, no firmware pairing step. This is made possible by built-in hardware acceleration for both isochronous (video, audio) and bulk (mass storage) transfer types — the chipset handles the timing reconstruction that USB over long cable runs normally breaks. The result is that installers can stage, swap, or replace peripherals without touching the host system, and end users get a room that just works from the moment they walk in. Compatibility covers Windows, macOS, and Linux.

RS-232 Passthrough for VISCA PTZ Control
Both the PC Host and Device modules carry an RS-232 serial port, providing a transparent serial passthrough across the HDBaseT link. For PTZ cameras that use VISCA or RS-232 control (a very common requirement in boardrooms and auditoriums), this eliminates the need for a separate serial extender or IP-serial converter in the rack. The I/O pin direction is configurable via INOGENI's Maestro software — output on the Device side by default, input on the Host side — and the logic level is 1.8 V maximum, compatible with standard RS-232 transceivers. This makes the U-BRIDGE 3 a complete one-cable solution for both USB data and camera control in professional room deployments.

Broad UC Platform & Camera Compatibility
INOGENI conducts systematic interoperability testing with major USB camera brands — AVer, Logitech (Rally, Rally Bar, MeetUp, Scribe), Jabra, ClearOne, Huddly, HuddleCamHD, PTZOptics, Lumens, Marshall — and publishes a maintained compatibility matrix. On the host side, the U-BRIDGE 3 is validated with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Google Meet, as well as room PCs and CODECs from Lenovo, Poly, Crestron, Cisco, Logitech, MAXHUB, Q-SYS, and Barco. For integrators, this tested-compatibility approach dramatically reduces commissioning risk: rather than discovering a camera quirk on-site, known-good combinations can be specified at the design stage. The TOGGLE auto-switch function is also explicitly listed as compatible with the U-BRIDGE 3.

Rugged Aluminium Build with Mounting Hardware
Both modules are housed in black anodised aluminium enclosures — the PC Host unit measuring 70 × 97 × 23 mm (170 g) and the Device unit 70 × 137 × 23 mm (210 g). Each module includes mounting brackets, terminal blocks, and wood screws in the box, so they can be cleanly secured under a table, to a display back, or inside a rack shelf without additional hardware purchases. The PC Host module's USB-C host connector features a mechanical locking screw hole, preventing accidental disconnection from the room system — a small but meaningful detail in environments where cables are occasionally pulled. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C, suitable for standard enclosed AV installations.

5-Year Warranty and FCC/CE/UKCA Certification
Units purchased after August 1, 2024 carry a 5-year warranty — a significant commitment for an active electronic device and a meaningful differentiator versus the 2-year standard common in the category. The U-BRIDGE 3 is certified to FCC Part 15, IC (Canada), CE (EU), UKCA (UK), WEEE, RCM (Australia), and NOM-019 (Mexico), covering the major markets where professional AV installations are regulated. TAA compliance makes it eligible for US government and education procurement. Made in Canada. These certifications reduce the administrative burden on integrators working in regulated or publicly funded environments.
