USB 3.2 Gen 1 multi-device extender with wall plate
INOGENI U-BRIDGE 3 WP
The INOGENI U-BRIDGE 3 WP is a professional-grade USB 3.2 Gen 1 extender that solves the interoperability and distance challenges AV integrators face when deploying USB cameras and peripherals in mid- to large meeting rooms. The system consists of a compact PC HOST module placed near the codec or room PC, and a Decora-style DEVICE wall plate installed close to the display or camera — connected by a single CAT6A U/FTP cable over distances up to 100 m (330 ft.). It delivers SuperSpeed 5 Gbps throughput to support 4K USB cameras, videobars, DSPs, HID devices, and more — with true plug-and-play operation across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Made in Canada and TAA-compliant, it comes with a 5-year warranty.

HDBaseT-USB3 Link — Reliable 100 m Extension
The U-BRIDGE 3 WP uses HDBaseT-USB3 as its transport layer — not a simple active repeater or optical solution — running over a single CAT6A U/FTP cable up to 100 m (330 ft.). This matters in practice because HDBaseT was purpose-built for stable, long-haul AV signal transport and is far less susceptible to cable quality variation than generic USB active cables. The result is that USB sessions — including the isochronous streams that carry audio and video — remain rock-solid at full distance. INOGENI explicitly recommends toolless terminations (no crimp tool) to preserve signal integrity, a nuance that prevents the most common field failures. For rooms where the rack or codec is located in a back-of-house equipment closet and the camera or videobar is at the front wall, 100 m headroom means the installation fits comfortably without compromise.

Decora Wall Plate Design for Clean Installations
The DEVICE module ships as a standard North American 1-gang Decora-format wall plate with a screw-free faceplate — all fasteners are hidden behind the removable cover, leaving a clean white finish that blends into any meeting room or boardroom interior. The faceplate is replaceable, which means it can be swapped for a custom colour or a third-party gang plate to match a site's existing décor standard. A cable tie slot on the module secures the CAT6A tail for a tidy, snag-free finish behind the wall plate. An elegant removable cap covers the RS-232 port when not in use. This level of finish detail is what separates a professional integration from a stopgap solution — end users see a polished room rather than exposed equipment.

Power over Cable — Flexible Powering from Either End
The U-BRIDGE 3 WP uses PoC (Power over Cable) through the HDBaseT link, meaning the included 36 W power supply can be connected to either the PC HOST module (at the rack or codec end) or the DEVICE wall plate — whichever is more practical for a given installation. INOGENI notes it is more efficient to power from the PC HOST side, where infrastructure power is typically already present, avoiding the need for a local power outlet behind the wall plate. The DEVICE wall plate provides up to 1.8 A shared across its USB ports, sufficient for cameras, DSPs, and most USB peripherals. Eliminating a mandatory outlet at the device end simplifies conduit planning and reduces installation cost in new builds or retrofit spaces.

RS-232 Passthrough for PTZ Camera Control
Both the PC HOST module and the DEVICE wall plate carry an RS-232 serial port, passed transparently across the HDBaseT link. This allows VISCA or other serial control commands to travel the same single CAT6A run as the USB data — no additional control cable is needed between the rack and the camera position. By default the PC HOST I/O pin acts as an input and the DEVICE wall plate I/O pin as an output, matching the typical codec-to-camera control direction. The RS-232 port on the wall plate is covered by a removable cap when unused. In large rooms using PTZ cameras with serial control (common in Zoom Rooms and MTR deployments with PTZOptics, Lumens, Marshall, and similar cameras), this collapses what would otherwise be a two-cable run into a single, clean CAT6A drop.

Broad UC Platform and Camera Compatibility
INOGENI maintains an active tested-device list covering USB cameras and videobars from AVer, Logitech, Jabra, ClearOne, Huddly, HuddleCamHD, PTZOptics, Lumens, Marshall, Vaddio, and others — as well as speakerphones and DSP audio devices. On the codec and room-system side, the U-BRIDGE 3 WP is verified with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and CODEC platforms from Cisco, Poly, Crestron, Lenovo, MAXHUB, Q-SYS, and Barco. This breadth of pre-tested compatibility is the outcome of INOGENI's proprietary USB 3.0 interoperability testing procedure, which is designed specifically to catch the isochronous-transfer edge cases that cause camera dropouts with generic extenders. For integrators, a pre-tested combination eliminates the risk of a field call caused by an untested USB chain.

TAA Compliance and Full International Certification
The U-BRIDGE 3 WP is TAA (Trade Agreements Act) compliant and manufactured in Canada, making it eligible for US federal government and public-sector projects that require domestic or TAA-qualifying sourced equipment. Certifications cover FCC, CE, UKCA, RoHS, IEC 62368, SoV, RCM, and NOM, enabling deployment across North America, the EU, the UK, Australia/New Zealand, Mexico, and beyond without re-certification. The included universal power supply (100–240 V AC) ships with country-specific cord options for North America, EU, UK, Australia/NZ, and Japan. The 5-year warranty — above the industry norm of 1–3 years — reflects INOGENI's confidence in the hardware and gives end users a long support horizon for a device that is typically embedded behind walls.
